Good... 1st is better February 14, 2007 ... 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
You're probably wondering why the bloody [...] i rated this game overall 4 and are going to give it a negative response, well hear me out! Halo 2 is a nice attempt to tide fans over for Halo 3, but come on, guys, the worst part of this game is the cliffhanger at the very end of the game, and not to mention that the flood are back (why can't the pussies just be at a tea party?)! The flood are really easy to kill though, and now you have more options for killing them, but in 1-2 player campaign, it's sometimes very EASY to get lost, unless you have a 100% idea on where you are going! Unlike in Halo 1, the pistol doesn't have a zoom on it. making it the most useless weapon in the game (well, I guess the plasma pistol could be more). You can dual wield guns, but you can throw grenades, so there's a major pro and con. It's better just to use weapons like Energy Swords, and Shotguns, so you can still throw grenades with powerful weapons. Another complaint is that there is a not a lot of ammo for the GOOD human weapons in this game, making you rely on covenant weapons a little bit more, but the human weapons now have special upgrades (all except for the pistol, which has been downgraded), making them worth more, actually. Multiplayer is quite fun, but all of the maps are completley different, except for Cogulation, but that's just a remake of Blood Gulch with a few differences. Even though this is quite a fun game, you may want to rent it first, but obviously you will probably like it at LEAST a little bit. The biggest complaint I have for it is why do we need to have emblems on our character in multiplayer matches? 5 stars for fun 4.5 stars overall
One of the top 3 Xbox Games. Period. December 22, 2005 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Undeniably one of the best xbox games of all times.
Not as good as the first September 24, 2005 A. Leroy Vanee (Alberta,Canada) 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
Basically Halo2 was cut short,so Bungie could get started on Halo3 for the xbox360. The campaign story was a joke, and a hugh disappointment! Halo2 is basically a multiplayer game to play on xbox live! The 1st Halo was a much better game. Biggest gripes. Hard to find ammo for Earth weapons. You will end up using enemy weapons most of the time. The Flood are back. Why? Rent. Wait for Halo3!
Lives up to the hype-Top notch FPS experience. June 10, 2005 Crazy Porker 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Halo 2 is a top-notch FPS experience. It is not the "Best game ever made", but if you ar an Xbox owner, you have to buy it. If you like FPSs, buy Halo 2. IF you don't, then you probably won't like it.
