Animal Farm

The dream brings a song. Intolerable conditions lead to revolution. As time passes things change; not exactly as planned.

There are two striking parts to this tale that stand out. First when Boxer is sent to the hospital and Benjamin reads the side of the van "Horse Slaughterer." Secondly there was a party in the farm house as the pigs were playing cards with the men, two aces of spades showed up. An argument ensues. Then a realization was drawn by the creatures outside looking in as they "...looked from pig to man, and man to pig, and from pig to man again..."

Voici comment par une satyre du trotskisme et du "léninisme" , Orwell nous montre les déviations du pouvoir exercé au jour le jour. En transposant l'application d'idéaux politiques dans une société d'animaux opprimés rêvant d'une vie meilleure,l'auteur, avec finesse ,humour et esprit critique nous montre combien il est difficile de lutter contre la nature humaine toujous avide de pouvoir et ou comme dirait Mr de la Fontaine:"La raison du plus fort est toujous la meilleure".

Every one ought to have read Animal Farm. It's a short novel, easy to read, sort of an "easy 1984". It denounces the perverse effect of power on any political leader, and the unavoidable treason that follows. This book shows how a tyranny arises and reading it should help future generations interprating political alarm signals in their lives.
It is also a good reflexion about human - or animal? - nature.
