CHRYSOPRASE
Chrysoprase is a translucent stone of the Chalcedony family. It has a fresh new-born feel about it's colour, which ranges from the paler shades to the richer, deeper shades of apple-green. The green is due to the presence of nickel compounds within it's structure. It has a wax-like lustre that gives the appearance of a soft glowing light situated somewhere deep within it. It is found in Poland and Australia.
The characteristics of Chrysoprase make it an excellent balancer of the physical and mental bodies. Belonging to the heart chakra it expands and relaxes any feelings of tightness and anxiety that are trapped in this area. It's calming and tranquillising effects hold the nerves steady, gently balancing the emotions. Chrysoprase is a stone that connects most strongly with fate, gliding gently into the future. It seems to comprehend that which is the path of truth, wherever it may lead. It brings a calmness of facing up to one's future, to one's own special journey. Chrysoprase stretches out the hand to guide us, even though the road ahead may not be seen. As through an opening we are gently led.
Chrysoprase's gentle vibrations are used to aid sleep. It is a wonderful stone for promoting and sustaining restful situations of any kind, especially where healing is required. It's power reaches into troubled hearts and helps in the deciding factor of where to put one's trust. Chrysoprase centres the heart chakra into a definite idealistic forward thinking movement. For this reason it is a beautiful and natural aid to man's physical and spiritual evolvement. Ideal for any forms of tests and examinations that lie before us in whatever form. It is said to improve memory and even wisdom, perhaps retained from past lives, the trials carried through into our present lives. It reduces nervousness and helps those of us who are impatient. It increases the intuition and ability and presence of mind of the wearer to make him more able to act with good sound judgement in emergencies. In a heated situation Chrysoprase brings coolness to bear. Likewise with fevers, emotions, excitement and arguments. It is a strengthener to the physical heart, increases material and spiritual prosperity and consciousness and above all heightens the ability to live in friendship and not to judge without losing it's high ideals.
As Chrysoprase is held it emits a steady flow of magical and reassuring light. The physical and mental body will feel it's emanations enter into it's mind and memory patterns then invade positively the body structure. As a clarifyer of problems it brings unconscious thoughts to the conscious realm of life, strengthening inner missions and quests, aiding higher consciousness. Chrysoprase is the stone of the ideal heart and of chivalry. It conjures up the quests and ideals of the Knights from King Arthur's Realm, or of the green butterfly that flutters in the breast until doubts have dissipated, until the transformation of idealistic action has been formed. Chrysoprase is the gentle maiden of sleep who will lead the traveller to a grassy plain to restore his strength and memory.
Hold Chrysoprase within the palm of the hand and breathe in it's beautiful green ray. Absorb this colour-vibration within the body and aura. A definite change will occur. Both a sense of vitality and calmness will rest within A dreamlike quality wherein unicorns are nourished. A stone to seduce the heart or lead us to Avalon?
Another excellent way to allow Chrysoprase to help life's traveller is to choose one rough unpolished piece and one small polished or tumbled stone. Before retiring to bed hold one in each hand and quietly ask inwardly or aloud that through dream-sleep your future may be revealed. Place these stones under the pillow or beside you as you sleep. Inevitably one's dreams will reveal various paths, images, and messages. Allow yourself, next day, a quiet period in which to reflect and take counsel from the visions that were given to you. Ask whether you would change these paths, as it is within your power, or to embrace them in a positive way. By choosing to see the rough with the smooth I believe destiny allows us great choice in our future decisions.
