OPTICAL CALCITE
Optical Calcite, sometimes called Icelandic Spar, is a transparent white crystal forming and breaking naturally into rectangular shapes. Generally it is used to aid meditation and vision—travelling, cutting through time and energy divisions. As an exploratory stone it works chiefly on mind and crown chakra energies and is a key to the many facets of the unknown worlds of nature, near and distant universes and that which is between, opening up eyes and vision.
As a crown chakra stone it opens up the locked doors within the mind helping to bridge the inner eye to travel into previously unseen vistas. It sings and vibrates to a different frequency to that which we are used but nevertheless easily attune to. It holds stories, and being a ladder, so to speak, leads to many secrets. Within Optical Calcite's strange vibrations are many corridors and entrances to hidden worlds. The shiny surface of the stone reflects and seeps into the mind, lighting up areas of memories, dreams and ideas, one leading to another. It bridges, connects and expands consciousness, breathing out its own pure light. Through this a traveller may pass to different realities.
Optical Calcite has the remarkable ability of splitting light. It changes light’s direction and speed. Time and light enter a different reality. A natural law, and as it translates differently to our mode of knowing it enters another zone — reality far removed from our present surroundings. Hold this stone in the hands and relax. Optical Calcite has a twin life, a double refraction, causing a letter or picture placed beneath it to double. Just as we look into a crystal held and energized by our hands and mind, thoughts spread out as a thousand lights. A door opens and another entrance is gained to a second state. Each person has their own experiences and their own special gifts of sight. One world I entered was completely purple of vibration. I was told it was a buffer zone, very similar to the ligaments that hold muscles together, but this was projected somewhere out into the universe.
