1 out of 5 stars Shockingly bad   October 2, 2008
    L. Howard
Any book that has a man eating snake come out of nowhere is I'm afraid rubbish.

This story has so many plot twists that it is plain silly and to cap it all the plot is predictable, but childish.

The only good thing about the book is the ending, but for no other reason other than I have finished it and will not need to read it ever again.

4 out of 5 stars Excellent Read   August 20, 2008

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, couldnt put it down in fact. Not one of the best but a close second. Would highly recommend this, you wont be disappointed.

Another woeful outing from James Patterson whose last three outings have seen him regulated from eagerly anticipated to so what. The characters are flat and the story poorly conceived and executed - where does a huge man eating snake come from in Bermuda? It's another straight to video.

5 out of 5 stars Sail - was just what I needed!   August 1, 2008

After reading You've been warned by the same authors I wondered if this book was going to be such hard going! To my delight this was a book I did not want to put down and found myself reading it through the night.

James Paterson deserves his money as he has produced some brilliant books which I have enjoyed. His skill from going from tense thrillers to love stories, one off stories to follow on stories speaks for itself and I hope he is around for many years for me to continue reading and enjoying his books.

As for SAIL read it and enjoy!

3 out of 5 stars An OK 'time filler quickie'   July 26, 2008
    Clive
Another page turning quick read from Patterson and another ghost writer. The story reminds me of a Tales of the Unexpected episode, it is straight out of the Roald Dahl quick thrillers with a twist. A fine quick pop-corn read where you don't have to think too much. It doesn't really pull any punches, thrill, or shock, but really is a time filler OK read. Overall, I guess it took as long to write as it does to read.
