Darker and more serious than some of his other satiric novels, this is a very good read if you like more thriller than comedy in your comedy-thrillers. Plenty of throw-away lines, plenty of wit and lots of nasty/funny bits; good plot; good characters, nice allusions. What more do you need to persuade you -- how about Bundy and Rostow?
