5 out of 5 stars You wont be able to put it down   October 12, 2008
    M. Smith (Scotland)
This is the second book i have read from Melissa Nathan, the first being the Learning Curve. Without a doubt she was a very talented woman. I took this book on holiday and could not put it down, it had be laughing out loud at the side of the pool much to the dismay of other holiday makers. You wont be dissapointed by the plot, characters, twists and sheer humour in the book. Cant wait to read some more of Melissa Nathans books, the Nanny will be the next one for me i think.

    5 out of 5 stars One of Nathan's best   July 9, 2008
    A Nordic reader
I've read all of Nathan's novels except 'The Learning Curve' and found 'The Waitress' as enjoyable as 'Acting Up' and 'The Nanny'. It's romantic and funny and it gives me the impression that Nathan must have been a great observer of people - her characters feel pretty realistic. The novel is deliciously long too, so a lot of material for escapism there. :)

5 out of 5 stars Another amazing story by an amazing writer!   June 16, 2008
    C. Reade (london)
I loved the nanny also written by Melissa Nathan and went on to read some others of hers, they are all amazing stories with funny and quick moving story lines that will make you not want to put the book down. The characters are great especially in this story as her relationships are something we can all relate to! I would recommend this if you have read and liked any other Melissa Nathan books, if not and you like this then you must read the rest. It is a shame she can not write more.

5 out of 5 stars Loved it!   March 19, 2008
    R. King (England)
After reading a lot of girly books, i discovered melissa nathan and i think that her books are possibly the best in the genre. I really loved it, the character is very believeable and the plot keeps you hooked right to the end. a must-read for everyone!

5 out of 5 stars good fun book   January 17, 2008
    Lisa Quinn (Manchester, England)
i can relate to the character Kate in this book feeling the panic about life and what to do with it! however she works in a cafe, which is then bought out and the new owner is the one person she would like to see again but how will they get along!

i really liked this book best as it was full of different points of view, again it was hard to put down.

in my words the best of melissa's novels.
