    5 out of 5 stars NCIS season 2   September 25, 2008

Having recently purchased NCIS season 1 I decided to invest in season 2 as well. What a great show. It's still as entertaining as ever and has some wonderful storylines. The best episode in the series I think is SWAK. In this season Sean Murray becomes a regular and he makes a wonderful addition to the cast. This is a mut buy for any NCIS fan.

    5 out of 5 stars NCIS season 2 boxset.   November 17, 2007

    An absolutely excellent DVD boxset.
As for Season 1, every episode is in fantastic detail.

NCIS season 2 is about a team of highly specialised Cops, which consist of Mark Harmon (Gibbs), Michael Weatherly (Tony), Sasha Alexander (Kate), Sean Murray (Tim), Pauley Perrette (Abby) and David McCallum (Ducky) who investigate crime scenes and bring justice to Naval murders.

There are 23 episodes in this boxset and I am very pleased to say that having watched every single one of them, not one of them was upsetting in any way.

I reccomend that people with light stomachs however, dont view this, as in autopsy, you can see the person being "cut open" and can have frightning images on little children.

In season 2, the last episode "Twilight" is the last episode for actress Sasha Alexander, who leaves the show being shot at. However, we see her again for two episodes in Season 3.

    Hope this review helps.

4 out of 5 stars big sis found a gem   October 13, 2007

My sister found this hidden gem quite a while ago and she put me on to it in the last few months. I hadn't seen it before then, and now I'm hooked.

It is the spin off from the navy series JAG, which I had tried and hated, so when the sis put me on to NCIS I was very wary. I am relieved to say it is nothing like JAG, NCIS is significantly better. I don't know whether it's better acting, the fact that the people seem to get on well and have fun or that it's better written, but it is a more appealling series.

I don't get to see the programme when it is broadcast on Fridays because it clashes with St Helens RLFC home matches so I am dependant on DVDs for my fix. As usual region 2 means 2nd class dvds - please can we have extras.

This is the second series and unlike some other programmes survived the axe it is as good (if not better) than the first - I found that I was attached to the characters, even one that I didn't really like from series one.

NCIS is very enjoyable, with great characters and stories, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes murder-mysteries (a 5 star series), however it loses one star for the lack of extras.

5 out of 5 stars High quality CSI clone with an appeal of its own   September 13, 2007

The second season is slightly better than the first. It's more consistent in quality and the MIT graduate agent who was in a few season one episodes has now joined the cast full time. The characters have a lot of funny dialogue between themselves making them more appealing and interesting than the various CSI casts.

I'm not sure if it's better than the Las Vegas show, but NCIS is at least as good as CSI.

If you're tempted then I recommend you give it a try as it's better than it looks. Also the Navy setting isn't anywhere near as restrictive and boring as it sounds. Very little is set in air bases or aircraft carriers.

4 out of 5 stars Consistantly entertaining   September 11, 2007

Hasn't lost any of the pace of the first series, and the character dynamics are great. Quality, glossy cheesiness, great to have on standby for when you've got a spare couple of hours and can't be bothered to watch a film. Fave characters are Abby the 'goth', and the newbie Agent McGee, who looks like a baby seal. It's also got some surprisingly funny bits (in a low-key way). And the special effects people have alot of fun this series with some serious gore.
