Amazon.co.uk Review This handsome box set includes all the episodes from Series One--from our favourite coffee-drinking sextet's initial meeting in the pilot right up to the series cliff-hanger "The One Where Rachel Finds Out"--that Ross is in love with her, that is. Other highlights include: "The One With the Butt", in which Joey gets a big break as Al Pacino's stunt bottom; "The One With the Monkey" in which Ross acquires Marcel, his pet monkey; and the two-parter (imaginatively called "The One with the Two Parts") in which Joey starts dating Ursula, Phoebe's twin sister and Monica and Rachel double-date cute doctors played by George Clooney and Noah Wyle from ER. --Leslie Felperin

Amazing....however October 13, 2008 Ms. Eleanor R. Hodges This series of Friends is probably my favourite....Because you get to know all the characters individually, you then get to see in time them develop as a group and as couples. This reflects on a lot of real life situations. As a DVD I was impressed, you do not end up with 8 dvds with 4 episodes on a disk, instead they are double, in a very thin easy to store case. When it comes to the extras, This dvd is a NEW DESIGN, ALL series were previously released with extra scenes, and a lot of extra footage..how do i know this? I have them ;) they re-released due to the fact the extras were limited time only in the exact packaging, but with extra footage. Even without the extra scenes they are still funny and Friends is still the best series by far that has ever been released.
Peace at last! May 18, 2008 Mr. James A. Ledger (Bristol, UK) Looking for some peace and quiet from the girlfreind? Easy. Buy her this and get those important jobs done without the need to devote hours of your attention to her!
Best tv show ever March 9, 2008 E. J. Stuart (uk) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Friends is an incredible tv show(according to my daughter!) which shows all the things that can happen to friendships starting in high school... so good my daughter never misses an episode, sad now they've stopped making them ! 10/10
Quality... or the lack of it! January 26, 2008 N. Blessing (Birmingham, UK) 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
I wish to disagree with the other viewer's review on the DVD as having "quality picture and sound." I have watched this on an award winning DVD player and Sony Bravia TV and the image quality is awful! It looks as if it has been recorded from a 10 year old video. The resolution is poor, the colour is out and the sound is inconsistant. It's sad because it detracts from a classic comedy programme.
Hilarious June 21, 2007 Ernie the cat (Halifax, England) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was our first introduction to the 6 New Yorkers, and what a brilliant introduction it was. The characters seem to change considerably over the 10 series, but the early episodes are still as funny now as they were then. A brilliant series with some memorable episodes. If you're a fan of Friends and haven't purchased this yet then order it today, you'll find yourself watching them again and again - now that's what I call value for money!
