Yes have to agree guys, the dvd's ARE double sided, and yes they're a good Sunday afternoon viewing. Bought the set at under 20.00 off Amazon & good value. If you like Stephen King you'll enjoy.

These ARE of course the full TV films, the reviewers below obviously haven't grasped the concept of double-sided disks!

Both "It" and "The Shining" contain disks that must be flipped after around 90 minutes so that the film may continue. I can understand how this has caused some confusion however, the manufacturers presumed people would realise and therefore put nothing on the boxes to outline that this was the case.

The films themselves aren't bad at all by the way!

more and more old movies being re-released are having significant portions of the film cut out for reasons i wish i knew.
sometimes its excessive voilence for when a movies shown on the t.v but when you buy something on dvd you expect the whole version not the censored/edited version.
its even worse when a friend recommends a movie citing on a particular part and when you watch it that part was cut out.
i cant remember the films title but i remeber thinking it was crap (probably because i was waiting to see the greatest thing ever and it never happened)
who the hell decides to cut up this movies and ruin them for fans. maybe theres a conspiracy to release all the cut up to shreds movies then a month later release the original uncut ones! why o why o why

I bought the box set and I was disappointed when I noticed that the movie IT has only 90 minutes instead of original 180. In addition, the movie The Shinning is missing a big part. It simply jumps from the moment the main character starts talking to the ghosts to the moment in which he tries to kill his wife. I thought it was a defect of one isolated box set, but after I got the second box set, it seems to me that all box sets are faulty with missing parts.
