I've read many reviews for the low value end of digital frames; some customers are satisfied some brand them as a load of rubbish and a waste of money. I purchased a cheap 7" digital frame expecting to be disapointed and have to return it. To my surprise the results were quite acceptable. However I had to work for it! The manufacturers specification quotes a resolution of 480x234 and a picture ratio of 16:9, however if you do the sums a picture width of 480 pixels and a ratio of 16:9 gives a height of 270 pixels, and in practise a picture of this size (480x270) fills the screen. So using PaintShop Pro, I resampled, cropped and sharpened my pictures to fit in the frame and acheived very good results.

So in summary, if you want to simply plug in you memory card direct from your camera and get high resolution, crisp, bright images, this probably isn't the frame for you. If you are prepared to "tinker" with the images before loading them on the frame and display close up pictures of the family then it is excellent value for money.
