Unbeatable for this price November 5, 2008 Mr. T. Davies (Kent) Ordered one of these cables a couple of months ago for my PS3 to connect to my Bravia 40" 1080p and I must say that it's been top draw from day one. The 1080p dashboard on the ps3 looks unreal. I've just bought an Xbox 360 again and ordered another one of these cables. Both consoles are now hooked up to my Bravia in full HDMI joy. 5 stars for this product. Super quick delivery too making this one of the best buys I've ever made on here.
Well worth it! November 4, 2008 Mr. C. Butler (Tyne & Wear) I purchased this to connect my Toshiba up-scaling DVD player to my Toshiba LCD TV and was not disappointed. The quality was excellent and I now agree with The Gadget Show that the quality of HDMI cables cannot be judged by price.
Functional, no frills November 1, 2008 Mr. A. Akhtar (London) There is a noticeable difference between this cable and one that I bought for a a UKHDMI cable which costs 2 more. Yes, the signal is digital and, no - you don't need an expensive cable - but this cable cut out from time to time and the colours were not as deep on my Bravia TV (at both 720p and 1080i). Works - but don't expect greatness.
You may think it's cheap October 20, 2008 Steven Woodall (North yorks.) Well it is and it works as well as a lead you will pay 45 at Comet/Currys. Good tight fit into sockets, holds well DON'T BE PUT OFF BY THE PRICE
Flawless for less than a Fiver October 13, 2008 Mr. H. Williams (Somerset, UK) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
It's just a cable. It shouldn't require a review, but there's an overwhelming public opinion that you need to spend a great wad of cash to get a good HDMI cable. This isn't a new revelation. It's been around since SCART was born, and probably before that. The difference now is that this new-fangled digital technology is so advanced, you obviously need to spend even more! Rubbish. The cable's thicker than I thought it would be; very robust. Plug it in and you're away. Flawless 1080p from PS3 to 37" LCD Screen. Not a flicker, or a ghost in sight. The gold plates are a nice touch, too. And if it fails after a year (as so many of the big cable manufacturers claim the cheap ones will), I'll buy another and still be in profit over a "real" cable. Not that it will break, it doesn't move, has no moving parts, and unless I use it as skipping rope, it should last quite a while. Even if you're prepared to spend 30+ on a "real" cable, give this one a go first. If it's not to your liking, then you've only wasted 4.50 (a pittance if you've always bought "real" cables). If you like what you see however, you'll have saved a considerable amount instead of getting an expensive cable from a company that would also like to sell you a box to "clean-up" your electricity, or a very special and magic Network cable for over 70. I'm looking at you, Monster. Delivery is a bit expensive (though quite fast), and there seems to be glitch when placing more than one in an order (so pay for each one separately). The only thing I am disappointed with, is that Amazon haven't added this item to their Prime scheme; this could save you loads more.
