2 out of 5 stars Charging poor   August 7, 2008
    P. Narramore
I bought a Fujifilm F401 compact camera to take on a three month motorcycle trip to the US in 2006. I took on the trip my UK charger plus the two pin adaptor. When I arrived in Wyoming I found that an over night charge failed to fully charge the camera. I made numerous visits to branches of Radio Shack where I was sold US chargers which were allegedly better and more effective than my UK charger. In short, I could never get a decent charge into the canera so was faced with buying a replacement. I bought the uprated F410 and have been happy with it ever since. When I returned to the UK, the old camera would at least take a charge but not a full one. I'm just wondering if the battery is at fault rather than any charging system within the camera? Any advice please?

I've had one of these since 2002, and it's still going strong. Still generates more than perfect pictures... and it's so easy to use that my technophobe of a wife can use it too! Fantastic 3-in-1 camera!

I would give this camera 5 stars if only it lasted. What went wrong 1. The charge lights went. Oh you may think big deal but something else went. The ccd. So basically the screen apeared half black half white and the same happened when i took i photo. Other wise it was simply great. The zoom, and its pc cam.
Buy this camera and remember the risks. Thats why i am getting a Sony Cyber-Shot W15

the camera is brilliant, but, i can't take any photos in the dark as ican't see the display, but if i try to look the viewfinder, the on lightis just below it so i cant see through it. And sometimes when i take apic, i accidentally turn it off! But the camera is really small and cute.
