Product Description PROTECT YOUR GARDEN HABITAT: There are 9 million cats in the UK. The mammal society says cats kill around 275 million prey items a year, including 55 million birds. Voles and other small mammals make up much of the remainder. The Sonic Cat Repeller will help protect your garden habitat and encourage wildlife and birds back into it.

It really does work! October 6, 2008 Theloneharanguer (Yorkshire) After reading reviews of this and similar products I must say I was a little sceptical. However when satans furry army is fouling ones garden, needs must. It has now been three weeks and no more cat mess! Blimey. I would recommend that you order with the mains power supply as 2 duracell batteries only lasted 10 days or so.
yes,at last, no cat poo October 5, 2008 sandman (wiltshire, england) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I regularly got 4- 5 cat poos a week, but when it reached 8 poos I looked around for a solution. The amazon user reviews showed 22 people were delighted and 22 not delighted. I took a chance and one month later -still not one cat poo - brilliant.I can only assume the ones that do not work must be with deaf cats, which is a possibility I suppose.
Definitely works October 3, 2008 Boyakasha 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I tried absolutely everything (chemical stuff, mirrors, light, pepper, orange peels, ...) and nothing worked unitl I decided to buy 4 of these (they were 12.50 2 months ago!). They worked right from the beginning. Only the areas not covered got fouled from time to time. I bought two more of these beauties and now there is no more fouling. Put them where you think the cats get into your garden. Cats are pests as are their selfish irresponsible owners. I really hope these ultrasonic kits do some long-term damage to the cats and cause them a lot of suffering. I can only hope.
Works with some cats, others more persistent! October 3, 2008 R. S. Bacon (Milton Keynes, UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
We had various feline visitors, mainly because we have a plethora of bird feeders in our garden. We've tried a number of deterrents but this one is the most successful to date. Some cats literally jump off the ground when they trigger it and run off. One particular cat, however, is more persistent and is not put off by it and still sits under our feeders, directly in line with the deterrent. The instructions warn that some cats try and brazen it out so we are persisting with the unit. Moving it about (I've put it in a flowerpot to make this task easier) seems to help and I've just ordered another one so it gets both barrels next time he visits. Downsides? Well, it can go through batteries rather quickly if you have many unwanted visitors. The LED is at the front of the unit which is not always visible if the unit is facing away from the house; pity they didn't put it on TOP of the unit. A number of other reviewers have mentioned rechargeable 9v batteries which I think I might have to explore. A solar panel on top of the unit could have kept the battery topped up between ultrasonic blasts - it would help the batteries last a lot longer I reckon. Should I patent that suggestion? Anyway, they seem to work with the majority of casual visitors and I'm determined to make the final persistent critter decide my garden is not a nice place to visit!
Excellent Buy - Better than Cat Repeller Sprays September 29, 2008 P. Sharp (Notts. England.) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this 2 months ago and in the location I have it (a triangular garden at side of house), it has worked great. Didn't have any affect on the first night but after that the cats started poo-ing somewhere else. You do need to make sure the PIR covers all of the area. After about six weeks the cats started poo-ing just to the left of the device and out of range, so I've had to reposition it. Comes with a stake to stick in the ground which isn't mentioned in the product details. Negative points : 1) On an occasion where I let the grass grow long (4 inches but not obscuring the detector), this was too big a temptation for the cats to avoid, so they poo-ed anyway. (Seems the noise isn't anoying enough if the grass is comfortable). 2) This device is a little larger than you might expect/visualise and not discrete. I notice there's now a slimmer version. Those points aren't going to stop me buying another 2 though, one for my back garden and one for the front.
