    5 out of 5 stars Excellent   September 24, 2008

This has to be one of the best kettles I've ever owned. It doesn't drip, leak or bounce across the work surface when it's boiling, and it's so quiet that I had to double-check that I HAD actually switched it on the first time I used it.

The finish is very nice, and doesn't appear "cheap and nasty" like a lot of kettles in this price bracket- even those without filters. A very nice little feature is the multi-position lead exit on the base. This means that unlike most kettles, you can actually have the right length of lead between the base and the socket, instead of not-quite-enough, or way-too-much.

The integral water filter means the end of scummy tea and nasty rings in coffee mugs, although it does take a minute or two for the water to filter through. I would suggest that you keep it topped up as a matter of course.

5 out of 5 stars Really Pleased   September 9, 2008

Very pleased, I've had this a month now, i don't have to keep washing limescale out anymore. The drinks taste better and the indicator counts down by the week and not by the amount of times you open the lid. This is much better as you can fill it to the mimimum level as often as you want without thinking the filter indicator will recommend a change too early.

Whats really good is that you can start boiling the kettle straight away (I wait till it reaches the mimum level) without having to wait for all the water to filter through first. It filters through very quickly so there is no standing around waiting before you switch it on, like you have to do with some other kettles. Would recommend this.Bosch TWK6733 Jug Kettle with Brita filter - black

5 out of 5 stars Clearly good value for money, but.....   August 31, 2008

...don't buy the filters from Amazon. You can get them cheaper from one of the big supermarkets. The kettle is superb for the price and now sits in the office at work where it's most attractive feature (other than crystal clear cups of tea) is that it is quiet. Everybody who has used it thinks it was a good buy.

    5 out of 5 stars A perfect cup ... every time.   July 3, 2008

I bought this kettle after months and months of online and instore research, with one minor blip being that I bought a metal / trendy looking kettle prior to this which graced our kitchen for no more than two weeks as it was awful having to drink metallic tasting tea or coffee. We decided to steer clear of metal and look only at glass or plastic and we came across this one... again more research and finally we purchased it.

It has only been four weeks but it's been lovely, it's quiet, it's easy to maintain, it's a perfect cup of tea or coffee every time; couldn't really ask for more. Now it's just to see how long it will last but I am also a huge Bosch fan and realised that I now have the kettle and the washing machine; maybe a fridge next ... ha ha ha.

5 out of 5 stars The best water filter kettle on the market   June 14, 2008

When I was pregnant I loved to drink black earl grey tea mornin noon and night! The water in our area is so hard I bought a water filter kettle. It was bulky, heavy and now after just 12 months it needed replacing. I searched high and low....I found a good few but did not see why I had to pay over 50.
This beauty arrived within 48 hours. It is great. I prepare my daughters sterile bottles with the water and it tastes just great. It looks good too. Light and sleek and a quick boiler.
Buy it now. You will not regret it.
