con! August 12, 2008 muellersty (UK) This deserves zero stars, but there is no option for zero stars! Do not buy this light, it's a total waste of time. I've tried it in a room at night with flies, next day, guess what - yep flies still flying around and none caught in light. It's total junk, it should be banned from sale as it is not "fit for purpose". Don't waste your money on it. Mine's going back for a full refund.

I have used this for a long period in the most insect ridden villa in Italy and not a single fly was killed. This should not be allowed to be sold as an insect killer
Save your money. Don't buy! December 23, 2007 R B Dammed (England) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
These are a waste of time, and money. From the minute you buy, you have lost out, and once you have plugged them in you'll be wasting your electricity. I bought these and the stand alone Electric Insect Killer, neither of them work. If you want something that works, buy some sticky fly paper strips, or get a fly swatter, or keep the door closed, or just cover your food.
Useless pile of junk July 11, 2007 Ant Owen 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I wish I'd read the other reviews before buying one of these (I bought a single unit from Maplin) - it fails to live up to the manufacturer's claims. I'm returning mine under the distance selling regulations and I urge everyone else to do the same. What a rip off.

I have had these lights on continuously for two weeks without catching a single fly. Insects seems to fly right past it without paying any attention to the bright blue light.
