If it curls, turn it over! February 23, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is a yoga mat (also good for pilates floor exercises), it isn't supposed to be a comfy place to lie whilst on the floor, it's just for a little extra support. For people who find it curls back on itself... just turn it over (then it won't curl up again!) However after the first use I found there was no curling at all! The stickiness does help prevent slipping but you don't really notice it unless you're rolling around on the mat! Nice colour choices as well!
It's a YOGA mat November 1, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is a yoga mat. It's cushioning properties are meant to be minimal in comparision to it's frictional qualities. Such is the case with this mat. Thicker yoga mats tend to make it harder for me to stay balanced in trickier postures though they can be nice in kneeling ones - the solution, fold your thin mat double or triple for kneeling postures. This mat is fine though, and nice and sticky. I haven't found it's 'curling' tendancy to be worse than any other I've used.
A little too thin September 4, 2007 32 out of 42 found this review helpful
I would consider these yoga mats a last resort if all other ways of softening the ground fail. They work, but only just and you can literally feel a pea under them they`re so thin. In comparrison the soft cusioned sport/exercise mats work a lot better for yoga too. These mats are also curiously narrow, as if they were trying to make you topple off the edge and fall a massive 1 centimeter to your doom. When rolling them out they have a tendency to try to curl back in unless you sit on them or restrain them for 4 or 5 minutes. Apart from that they seem to do the job if the floor you`re on is perfectly smooth and bumpless, but if you are thinking seriously then don`t get these stupid mats because in all they are more trouble than they`re worth.
