This handheld served us very well until about 8 or 9 months along when the battery started to give out after a shorter and shorter period of use.
Now, after 16 months of ownership, it lasts about 30 seconds before the suction becomes useless. I should have taken it back while under warranty but didn't think it would get this bad. The battery is, as far as I can tell after speaking with Dirtdevil customer services, non-replaceable. I would be wary of purchasing a similar model again.

This cleaner has a meaty 13.2 volt battery so its suction is up to scratch and lasts for a reasonable amount of time too. Attaching the little brush unit really does gather the fluff and bits on a bed, sofa or rug.
Being cyclonic, the filter doesn't get clogged easily (only the finest particles get trapped around the washable filter unit) whilst the larger bits of fluff or paper whizz round and round, just like in a Dyson!
Built quite sturdily (for a plastic housed unit) it is not exactly lightweight but then again can stand the knocks it receives without falling apart.
It can be left on charge indefinitely to be always ready. We have two and couldn't live without them!
