I D Burton November 27, 2008 I. D. Burton (Manchester) I hope this product is durable, as then it will be perfection. The best toaster I have ever known and the first to brown evenly on both sides, which is what caused me to ditch the old one. Compact, easy to use, with simple buttons for all functions at the front, no pop up handle, and looks cool too. If you go away from the toaster for longer than planned then you know that your toast will be kept wsarm- I hate cold toast. I would recommend this to anybody!
Top toaster November 24, 2008 D. R. P. Owen (London) Love this toaster - looks great - funky motor system takes your toast and gives it you back perfectly toasted. And if you get stuck on the phone it keeps it warm until your are ready. Great extras including bagel setting (only toasts the inside). Don't look any further.
Best toaster ever November 16, 2008 Paul (Manchester, UK) This is the most original and coolest toaster on the planet. I can't believe how cheap it is for what you get. A 150 dualit doesn't even pop toast up when it's done, it just burns it. This 30 toaster rather sexily lowers and raises your bread silently and smoothly, the only noise it makes ever is a soft beep to tell you its done.
...and the toast tastes good too! November 5, 2008 H. Petre (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this a month ago after our ancient previous model caught fire! Incredibly fussy partner agreed to give this one a go, and we love it. It looks great; the way the bread slides smoothly out of view is a real talking point for our guests; the 'nearly ready' beep and the 'keep it warm' function are handy; but best of all, the toast tastes like real toast should: crisp on the outside, moister inside! I really had forgotten that toast is actually supposed to taste good, not like emery boards. What a relief to rediscover the joy of breakfast! It is a bit slow, and I've never used the bagel function as I dislike bagels, but all in all it's a great buy for 30, and doesn't take up a great deal of kitchen space. If you want an incredibly good-looking gizmo that that does all that it promises, then this is IT.
Great Little Toaster October 29, 2008 A. Hadwin (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this as it looked good, wanted something reliable with good reviews and at a good price. Let's just say that i am certainly not dissapointed. I tracked the item and came on time and on the face of it worth every penny. At the touch of the button the bread decends into the toaster, 8 seconds before it's reasy there's a beep and then watch as the bread rises. No spring mechanisim to mess around with to trap the bread in and then springing up and you have to catch the toast in the air. I've been using Wharbatons thin and medium from frozen. The toaster defaults to setting 3, so all i did was hit the freeze button i.e. to toast from frozen. The toast came out perfect and nicely brown. I've also done it using fresh bread and again the toast is perfect and brown. I've not used any other features yet, like the "Keep Warm", but i'm betting everything works well. Buy this and you won't be dissapointed. BTW - there's no on/off button, so you have to make sure you always turn it off at the mains, otherwise the toasting light is always on and is just wasting energy. Don't be put off by this!!!!!!!!
