Too heavy and too noisy - but it does the job November 14, 2008 bookelephant (London) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I could not agree more with all the reviewers who mention size and weight - it really is a workout using it! And it is pretty noisy - a deep noise but very noticeable. It does produce good results, and has a really excellent cold shot (which is even more noisy than the ordinary noise!). However weight and noise together were too much for me - I got the Babyliss Powerlite in the end ...
Great value & great results November 9, 2008 C. Brendon (England) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This hair dryer does exactly what it says on the tin great results in super fast time. As for other reviewers commenting on the weight of the dryer they must have been using a `travel' dryer previously as I found this one to be a lot lighter than my old dryer and just about the same length with the styling nozzle attached but with a far superior no frizz, shiny, healthy looking hair result. I would highly recommend and delivery came within two days. It gets a 10 out of 10 from me.
good :-) October 11, 2008 N. Sheridan (uk) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
i bought this a while ago, its a good hairdryer. a plus point is the dust filter at the back which can be detatched for cleaning. this is a very good feature as its dust build up that destroyed my old hairdryer. the only bad point is its fairly heavy and the size makes it a bit awkward for traveling but i would definatly say the good points outweigh the bad by a mile. definatly reccomended
Too big and heavy but.......... August 25, 2008 Mrs. S. E. Davies (UK) 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
I bought this hairdryer a couple of months ago as I wanted all the bells and whistles such as ionic, ac motor, powerful dryer etc. The Philips Proceramic certainly has all of those. However when I got the hairdryer out of the box, I noticed how heavy it was. Also when I put the concentrator nozzle on the hairdryer, it made the whole dryer so long, it was difficult to use it easily. So I have been using it without the concentrator nozzle which means that the directional air flow is not directed so well onto the part of my hair which I am drying and it tends to blow my hair about quite a bit. Having said that though, it still seems to do a very good job of drying my hair. I have fine hair, although lots of it and hairdressers always remark on how long it takes to dry my hair. This hairdryer does the job very quickly. Although I cannot direct it as well as I would like, I find that the finished result looks fine and my hair seems to go in the direction that I am trying to put it with the brush! Once my hair is done, it feels full of body and bounce with no static, something that some other less powerful dryers cannot seem to achieve easily. So there you have it, I find it difficult to use and it is heavy, but have always been happy with the finished results. I would not recommend this dryer to someone that is looking for a small dryer that they can easily take with them on trips, but if you are looking for a powerful dryer that can 'bully' your hair into shape and make it behave itself then this is the one for you!!
Heavy work May 19, 2008 DH (Farnham, UK) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
Ordered this last week and turned up within two days, lots of settings which work well, however it is heavy, feels like a work out after a few minutes so be warned!
