Mucho Brownie Points!!!! October 25, 2008 Simon Townsend (Cornwall, UK) This is definitely (as Tim Bentley quite accurately puts it) "The Dogs Danglies"! When my wife dropped a few hints that she would quite like hair straighteners I was completely at a loss. Not knowing a creamic plate from a heat shield I turned to the Internet for help. These straighteners are the best. All of my wife's female friends have commented on this and especially the fact that the plates are extra wide. Perfect for quickly dealing with thick curls and the end product is amazing. So lads, don't be tempted by cheaper imitations - spend the extra and the Brownie Points will come rolling in!!!
Fabulous! May 8, 2008 R. Martin (England) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought my GHDs in January 2007 and haven't looked back! I have long hair and the wide plates make it so easy to get it completely straight, plus it only takes about 10 mins. I use them all the time as they're just so convenient. I also have some Remington straighteners with large plates, they're good too but cannot compare to the GHDs. Girls, get some, they're fab!
Say Good-Bye Frizz and Loathsome Ringletts! April 27, 2008 Euni45 (Somerset England) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have hair like Side Show Bob.... on a BAD DAY,. These GDH Straighteners really do work they are very easy to use and have a long flex so you can reach the mirror. If I had, had these GDH Straighteners when I was young I could have married a Millionaire. Nice smooth shiney hair improves ones appearance 100%. This is a must have item for anyone with unwanteed curls, waves, Frizz ect'.

Had mine for around 3 years and used them more than I've ever used anything in my life :P They just broke recently though :(:( I'm not too angry or anything... the amount of use I got out of them... I'll definitely be getting more because I can't be sure that anything else would even work on my incredibly thick hair.

This styler is amazing.Yes, it totally straightens hair beautifully but it has the most important bonus of leaving my hair sleek and frizz free. Just as if I have come from the hair salon in fact.I have thick, just below shoulder length hair which can be reasonably tamed into almost straight with a lot of effort but has a natural desire, when left,to kink rather than curl. It's main problem is that it has a tendency to frizz and is a barometer for wet/damp weather when I look as if I have a halo of frizz. I took the straighteners on holiday [dual voltage-great]where the humidity usually mean my hair 'pings' into it's usual frizz. Yes, it did but I now have the means to tame it in seconds.I also bought some ghd hair protector on the advice of my hairdresser. I am one very happy bunny!
