I have long thick hair and use these clips to keep my hair up, around the house. Most of these give up the ghost after a few weeks, either the plastic teeth start snapping off or the metal clip breaks. This one however is still intact after several months, and is still shiny, clearly good quality . The reason I wrote this review, is for other people like me, who wondered if it was strong enough to hold the hair up, and it is. :)
