Is it possible to fall in love with a toothbrush? Yes! November 30, 2008 E. Gould (London) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am a fan of electric toothbrushes, and liked the Sonicare ones I have had in the past(ones being the operative word since they had a short battery life and were rendered useless within 12 months; also the replacement heads were SO expensive). I have been using an Oral B toothbrush for the last year and thought I would 'upgrade' when I saw this one on Amazon - it was heavily reduced. Oh my God! This toothbrush truly is the bee's knees! The SmartGuide is most definitely NOT a gimmick but really useful. I have stuck it on my bathroom mirror and it's incredibly helpful when you're brushing your teeth. No wonder the toothbrush itself is Oral B's cream of the crop; I have never felt my teeth so clean and gleaming. I reckon I used to brush too hard with other brushes, but this one alerts you when you are pressing too hard. Oral B offer a 24 month refund - if you're not thrilled with your brush for any reason, you can return it for a full refund. that's how confident the company is in the success of their amazing toothbrush. I could rabbit on forever, but if you are contemplating buying a new electric toothbrush, I wholeheartedly recommend this super dooper one!!
Good all-round toothbrush November 30, 2008 Mr M. Duone (Caledonia) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
If your looking for a higher end electric toothbrush that will give you more than just a rotating brush then the Oral-B Triumph is the one for you. I've had it for a couple of months now and I've noticed a difference in the whiteness of my teeth (something that never happened with my previous, and much cheaper, electric toothbrush). The brush has a number of very useful features that help you get a proper clean and for the right amount of time. Obviously the Triumph has one stand out feature, the Smartguide screen. It's a bit of a gimmick but does make you concentrate more on brushing evenly throughout your mouth and makes sure you don't put too much pressure on the brush head. However it's by no means essential and, if you have a messy bathroom, you may find it hard to locate space for it. I don't use it much now as the brush handle vibrates to tell you when you need to change the section of your mouth. The other down point is the Smartguide is not backlit so you may have difficulty seeing the screen in a dimmer lit bathroom. The brush handle is sort of banana shaped, quick bulky, but comfortable enough to hold. The buttons are in a good position and stiff enough so you don't accidentally press one while brushing. The LED display on the front of the handle tends to get covered in toothpaste so does need more of a wipe down (battery power lights would have been better here). Brushing is perfectly comfortable after a couple of go's. It does take time to get used to, especially if you've never used one before. It has a number of very nice features like message and polish. Not necessary for me and I generally want to brush and go. However the choice is there for those that like to spend a little more time in the bathroom. Overall the Oral-B Triumph is an excellent electric toothbrush, with room for improvement, but as it stands worth the money. You will get a superior clean and I guarantee you'll start noticing the difference. Recommended.
5-star toothbrush for a 5-star smile. November 21, 2008 F. Cargnin 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I love my toothbrush. I've been using it for some time now since I bought it and I LOVE IT! My teeth feel so clean, and everyone says how they envy my smile. I don't mean to be showing off with this comment... I just want to stress how good this toothbrush is if you're dedicated to using it all the time and for the recommended time. Apart from the usual time during the week, I am brushing my teeth for 20 minutes every Friday, using 10 minutes on the strongest brushing mode, then 5 on the massage mode and 5 more on the polishing mode, and my mouth feels as cleans as if I had been out of the dentist. My teeth got whiter too, and I didn't need to use the actual polishing head. I used to take the Smart Guide unit with me whenever I brushed my teeth, but now I don't see the need to take it anymore... It just sits on top of my chest of drawers as a clock... and not a very accurate one. But well, it's good to have it. I can't say it enough: Buy this toothbrush with confidence, you will love it if you love a great smile.
Great Product. My teeth never felt so clean! November 16, 2008 J. Watkins (Wales) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a very good product. My teeth feel very clean, almost dentist clean. The smartguide is a nice addition, but not really essential though.
Brushing with eyes shut November 16, 2008 Champak (Leeds, UK) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Nice stuff. Had so many other cheap battery operated electric brushes, but this has complete edge over others, only flaw is does need charging too frequently, but teeth have never been cleaner before.
