I've had this thermometer for a week or two and co-incidentally my son has been pretty ill this week with a bad cold and then an ear infection, a perfect opportunity to test this out!! We took my son's temperature a number of times as the device recommends and it showed approx 37.8. We then had to take him to the out of hours doctor to be checked as he had other symptoms. The doctor there showed his temperature as 38.4 and said that it would be have been 39+ when we took it as he had also had a good dose of calpol. So you see - I'm not convinced its completely accurate, but will at least show a fever if they have one!!

This has to be my favourite digital ear thermometer, and i've had a few lol!!! It comes with a great plastic case in which to keep the thermometer and the probe covers safe and sound - including its instructions which is cleverly concealed in the side!!! The case also acts as a way to easily change the the probe covers. Because of its case you can take it anywhere and know that its safe.
The thermometer itself is very easy to use and to make the whole ear check scenario simpler it gives a beep to let you know that the thermometer has been in the ear for sufficient time (1 second). Then you you just read the findings and take it from there. You can set the thermometer to either C or F, depending on your preference and it has a very useful Illuminated display for use in the dark - absolutly fab as it saved disturbing my little-un even more!!!! For babies and very young children it has a fever alert alarm, which is again very handy and reassuring. Very fast reading - just 1 second.
My child was happy to have it done with this one as its gentle, quick and so easy to use, i couldn't wish for better!!!
