I purchased a pair of these straighteners today. As soon as I had straightened a part of my hair once, my hair was so straight. I would recommend that you buy these, they are much better value for money than GHD's the price is a real bargain. It turns out that they're great. Buy them!

This is the first straightener I've ever bought. I was worried it wouldn't be as good as the super expensive ones my friends have, but I must say it's excellent! I have really really really really fine hair and this curls it and adds volume beautifully. My flatmate who has really heavy hair straightens her hair with it so quickly as well. My hair has never gotten caught in it before.

My hairdresser told me not to bother with GHDs - on her recommendation I was going to buy some FHI straighteners (about 50- 75) as she said they were better than GHDs in her professional opinion and cheaper- however I decided to browse the internet first and read some great reviews for the Pro 230. So I took the plunge, expecting them to not be quite so good, but they are BRILLIANT!! I have tried my friends and sister's GHds and I honestly think these are every bit as good. My hair isn't curly but it is quite wavy, so I can't speak for people with very curly hair, however these have a very high temperature and give that same smooth, floppy look and feel you get at the hairdressers, so I think they would be good for many different hair types. I do think they must be on a par with the FHI straighteners my hairdresser uses on her own hair, which is very thick and curly. They also have 3 different heat settings, great if you don't need super-heated straightening, like on your fringe for example. I really don't think most people would regret buying these instead of the overpriced GHds- I certainly haven't, and I have been using them on an almost daily basis for about 7 months now. Highly recommended.

I got these little wonders back in March but I wanted to test them over time before I submit a review.
I have curly hair which tends to get frizzy most of the time and this product is exactly what I needed. Everybody goes on and on about GHDs, I used them only once in a salon and I can say in all honesty that these straighteners are just as good.
They heat up in a matter of seconds, I use the highest temperature for my hair and only need to go over the same hair two-three times to create straight sleek results.
They also work great for my flatmate who has a very thick hair and even for her boyfriend.
The only little drawback is that the nice bronze colour on the outside of the plates gets scratched over time, luckily such a minor visual flaw has no impact on the performance.

After borrowing my friends GHD to see how i would get on with straighteners, i could not justify spending that sort of money on something i was not going to use everyday. These stood out as a well known brand and previous reviews. I have not been disappointed. One sweep and my hair is as straight as a ruler. Plus these are a gorgeous bronze colour which is a nice change from black.
