Nice pan July 19, 2005 C. Beale (UK) 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
It's not a skillet - it's a frying pan. A very good one. Nice balance, handle stays cool, non-stick is lasting well. And of course it is nice and heavy anodised aluminium - the best pan material for domestic cooks IMO.
Superb pan from an excellent range November 8, 2003 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
This pan is the cheapest out of the range but also one of my favourites. For a start, as with all the Anolon range the non-stick base is ridiculously durable and fabulously effective...if you can burn something with these pans then your culinary skills really are beyond salvation. Also the metal handle never gets too hot to hold - even when I heat the pan up over a hot flame (and I mean hot!) to flash fry something it still remains cool enough to use - strange but true. The size of the pan is great for a two/three egg omelette or for frying a piece of steak - I find it to be a very versatile size. It is a good introduction to the Analon range as it showcases their comparative lightness compared to other pans in this price bracket, how good they are to cook with and also their good looks! Yo won't want to hide this pan away in a cupboard! The only thing I dislike about this pan is the fact you can't throw it in the dishwasher. The anodised aluminium looks great but after a couple of years of use the bottom of the pan tends to go brown unless you are very handy with a scouring pad on a regular basis. Also the metal rivets on this inside of the pan need to be cleaned carefully as food tends to get stuck where the non-stick surface and the stainless steel meet - a little scrubbing brush or toothbrush quickly tackles this though. This is a great little pan which is incredibly versatile: if you haven't already got a pan of this size in your kitchen, or you want an inexpensive introduction to the Anolon range then buy this pan!
