As other reviewers have commented it's not dishwasher safe which is a bit of a pain. It's also fidly, the jug comes apart for easier cleaning so you have the jug a seal & the base/blade unit & have to keep track of them as well as a 2 part lid . performance is ok for thinnish liquids like soup but it won't make a thick fruit puree as it needs quite a bit of liquid to work.

First problem we encountered with this - it's not dishwasher proof. One of the things about dishwashers is that once you have one you never want to wash up again, so this is a bit of a pain - sorry to sound really sloblike. Also it can't do quite dense liquids properly because the blade is about half an ince from the bottom and bits of any slightly heavy ingredients (e.g. bits of onion, pepper etc that you may have put in a sauce) sink to the bottom and don't get pulped. However for basic tomato sauces or for pulverising sliced soft fruit (e.g. for baby) it does the job.

I bought this blender last week and am quite happy with my hummus but I have a couple of corrections to the description - things that I think are good to know about before you buy.Firstly, there is no recipe book! There is one recipe for soup on the back of the instructions but that's it. Secondly, none of the parts are dishwasher safe - including the mill attachment. I don't have a dishwasher so I haven't actually tried it but the instruction book specifically says not to put any parts in the dishwasher.
