Poor design August 12, 2008 L. Richards 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this for blending baby food - the metal hand blender is fine but the design of the mini food processer is terrible - it has a tiny socket that you plug the motor part into this is made out of plastic which of course can't take the pressure of the blender. Mine sheared after approximately 10 uses. Hopefully I can take it back as I haven't had it long. I had a braun for 10 years that still works but is a bit battered. I decided to switch to dualit as I read that the parts on the new braun mini-processer weren't stainless steel so the life wasn't as long. If the link to the mini-chopper was better on the Dualit then it would be a great product. I don't understand why these companies don't spend a bit more to use steel instead of plastic for the high pressure parts.
