This ranks as one of the best sound-tracks ever, accurately pin-pointing the time and musical culture against which the action of the film is set, offering an amazing diversity of musical styles--soul, R & B, flower-power lyrical mysticism and Top 10 pop. One caveat: the CD has not and never has included the track which so memorably opens the film and should open this CD and that is The Stones' "You Can't Always Get What You Want". Another good reason to buy the DVD, if one more was needed.

Even those who missed the movie will love the memories created by this wonderful collection of selected music from the 60's!! Enhance your enjoyment by also ordering and viewing the film with actors who went on to become famous and notable! "The Big Chill" is a holistic baby boomer's experience!
