Buy, even if you don't like Imitation of life May 7, 2001
Imitation of Life, The classic REM sounding Pop song, the song is refreshing revival of REM's pop years of 'Out of Time' and 'Green', but probably not a good example of what the new 'Reveal' album is going to sound like even though it is the promotion single. The 2 B sides both apear on the new album are Excellent, and more representative of the new album, these tracks in my opinion are better than the actual title song. The Lifting (Sequel to Daysleeper from REM's last album 'Up')really is a masterpiece, and Beat a Drum the second B side is a mellow piano song which has a very dreamy, beautiful feel to it!!!Buy Buy Buy Buy Even if you don't like Imitation of Life, buy it for the B sides.
