2 out of 5 stars Let down by the poles   July 8, 2008

We bought this to take camping as a sturdier alternative to a gazebo. The gazebo itself is quite good but is let down the the metal poles which are aluminium and bend very easily. Consequently we bent a pole on the first time we used it. We did go to a camping shop and buy some replacement steel poles which were fine, but the aluminium ones kept bending and had to be thrown. On our third time of using it, one of the top poles bent which could not be replaced as they are preshaped. It snapped through and that was the end, but to be honest we had already decided that we would have to keep replacing the poles. If the poles had all been made of steel I think it would have worked quite well but as it is they are just too flimsy to be of use. Save your money and buy a day tent instead.
