The Pest Repeller works by affecting the central nervous system of the Pest.  Only works for certain types of insects November 4, 2008

I bought this product from another site. I went for it because it claims to be foolproof. I bought it for an empty small brick shed where it used to have tons of woodlice and spiders living in it. During the autumn months there used to be tons of ladybirds too. 2 weeks after installation and leaving it switched on in the brick shed, I went to have a look. The first thing that greeted me were small flying insects flying into my face when I opened the door. There were only about 10 ladybirds on internal door frame, 2 large spiders and 1 large woodlice that were oblivious to the device. In general I did not see any small spiders or other woodlice about. The air smelt cleaner and fresher which is unusual for a building that remains locked up most of the time. On the whole, it is an acceptable device but it's a shame that it does not work on all insects or it would have been perfect!

I came back home to find some spiders in 2 corners of my bedroom. So I quickly plugged this in and see what happens. The spiders didn't even budge. I gave it about 1 hour then I plugged the repeller in an extension so I can physically point the device close range. Still the spiders didn't flinch.

The mice came out to greet me at my desk, actually climbed up etc. They must have been confused so it was obviously was working, I gave it 1 week to work and I have never seen them since. Don't expect this to react like the pide piper, give it a week or 2 and obviously block holes etc and do other humane things like not leaving scraps of food about and it will work. You certainly need to do a few things and not just rely on the 1

I can't speak for other pests but I found this product had no effect on cockroaches. It drew them out for 2 weeks, got rid of them for about three but then they just came back. In the end I Raided the supermarket for a plastic bottle of cheap stuff-has more effect. I meet only dead ones now and less of them. I give 1 star because of no mice or rats and my first born child is still alive and well.

a complete waste of time and money! i may as well have just put my money in the bin and welcomed the mice into my home, this device did nothing to stop them! i have used the elecronic rat killer to catch 7 mice so far, nothing else has worked and i am awaiting a visit from pest control!
