Had great difficulty loading this program and had to remove 2 updates to windows XP and revert to Adobe 8 before it would load. Works OK then albeit a bit clunky. Reloaded newer versions of Adobe etc and it still works.

After reading the good reviews on Amazon, I couldn't wait to get going with the software. I must say it has some nice functionality in the charts and reports etc, but the user interface is not that friendly and quite cumbersome to navigate around, far to many pop up windows all over the place whereas, I would prefer all the updating, inputting of notes, images etc to be in 1 window with appropriate tabs. I am glad I didn't spend too much money as I would have been really dissapointed.

There are so many of these programs on the market these days the choice gets rather bewildering. This package is a fraction of the price of some of the allegedly better-known programs, yet I find it hard to imagine what more anyone would need from genealogy software. Family Tree Legends is easy to use out of the box and is quite intuitive - yet the manual is comprehensive and easy to understand if you get stuck. Easy for the beginner, there's plenty of 'growing room' as you get drawn in to this fascinating hobby and plenty of extras too. Highly recommended.

I can heartily recommend this software. I have tried others (with varying degrees of frustration) but this one is definitely the easiest to use, most logical, and best value for money of those I have tried. Excellent!

I have used quite a lot of genealogy software over the years, but this is definately the easiet one I have used so far. There is no limit to the amount of family members you can add to your tree, and you can create a personal scrapbook for each family member too which is handy to keep all your photos and documents in one place. The charts and reports that you can create using the software are very professional looking. You can change the background, colour, font etc to personlise it even more.
The added content is a nice addition to this package. The printable worksheets are great if you're not quite sure what to ask when youre researching all the information on your family. The 30 day free trial is with the genealogist - I have read alot of positive reviews about this site, but I have yet to sign up to this.
I was extremely suprised with all the content that you get for under 10. I would definately recommend this genealogy pack to anyone who is considering starting their family tree.
