1 out of 5 stars Awful. Avoid.   September 18, 2008
    Chateau Noir (Northampton, UK)
I was one of the unfortunates to be attracted to this item because of the low price and - at the time - the generally positive reviews. I can now see I wasn't the only one.

This is a shocking piece of tat. It took HOURS to put together, not just because the instructions are awful but because none of the components seemed quite right. I've put together a lot of flat-pack items over the years and I can honestly say I've encountered nothing as frustrating as this. And then, when it was done, I discovered the ludicrous design flaw - the bump in the slide is so pronounced, and positioned in such an awful place, that my daughter (at 3 and a half) flies up in the air and lands painfully on her bottom no matter how she tries to slide down it.

    What moron created this?

    Avoid at all costs.

    1 out of 5 stars Disappointed   August 4, 2008

Received quickly and keen to erect the slide just as fast to let the kids have some fun in the back garden. Instead, they spent the afternoon, looking as frustrated as I felt watching me struggle to put it together.

Extremely poor instructions and the softest of metal used in screws and tools left me exasperated after 4+ hours of putting together and taking apart and having to resort to mole-grips to get screws out which would no longer turn with allan key.

As far as being educational: my kids learned a few new words whilst trying to put it together.

The wave at the bottom of the slide is in entirely the wrong place and the child is flicked up and lands right on the bottom edge of the slide with a thud and an 'ouch'.

Overall: A poor design made from the cheapest of materials.
Advice: Pay the extra and go to ELC !

3 out of 5 stars Never Again!!   July 15, 2008

I purchased this slide for my nephew's birthday and last night, we finally finished putting it together (2 weeks and lots of shouting later). The instructions are amongst the worst I have ever seen and I am sure we aren't the first nor the last people to put the steps on the wrong way round!!
My nephew is 3 years old, but I would have reservations as to its durability for an 8 or 9 year old to play on it.
Once put together, the slide is fine, though the chute is rather flimsy and I agree with the other reviewers about the big bump at the bottom.
Next time I purchase anything, it will have to come pre-assembled.

    1 out of 5 stars Don't touch with a barge pole   June 20, 2008

OK - so it is cheap. That is about all one can say about it that is positive.

It was bought for our 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son.

It took 4 hours to put together, principally because the instructions are very poor and the slide is not well designed - all the screws seem to be a few millimetres too short - thus having problems getting all the washers on.

I had to drill a new hole in the plastic slide because one was more than 1 centimetre out.

When constructed, the product is very very flimsey.

The picture is misleading - the wave in the slide is not half way down - but 2/3 of the way down - so children get thrown up in the air and land at the bottom of the slide where they hit their bottoms.

After just two slides the plastic slide is showing marks of the supporting metal rods underneath. Each time a child goes down the plastic slide bangs against the metal supporting rods.

The only way I can imagine anyone gave this product a good review is that they must belong to the company who are marketing it !!

    Dreadful. Avoid at all costs.
