MALACHITE, RHODOCROSITE AND EMERALD
Malachite is a deep green stone containing many swirls, curves and linear patterns of a darker or lighter shade of green. It has many names. Two being the Wheel of the Universe and the Stone of Wisdom. On a physical level it is used to help draw out pain. Placed over the solar plexus it will aid in the of repressed emotions. As a penetrator, it helps to cut through that which is held in. Malachite is used to ease stomach cramps, and because of its high copper content, works well in combatting aches and pains of rheumatism. In this instance copper bracelets, rings or necklaces should be added. Malachite is invaluable in aiding the recovery of sprains and broken bones, and helps in the rebuilding of muscular tissue. A piece of the stone is generally placed, held or bound against the area affected. Green gives a clue to its energies, strong healing vibrations.
In ancient times malachite was worn within the brow bands of pharaohs to bring insight and to aid them in the wisdom of ruling. Malachite is a strengthener of the heart chakra and clears the way for emotional responsibility and balance. As a stone of wisdom its ancient message is ‘Know Thyself’. If worn with clear quartz its properties are greatly enhanced. Malachite reaches right into the subconscious, penetrating inwardly and reflecting back to the conscious mind that which needs to be cleansed or altered. In healing, malachite that contains straight or directional lines are particularly beneficial as energy flows powerfully through these channels. They will draw out negative energy and pain and push back into the body green healing vibrations. A bullseye pattern, or any malachite that contains swirls and intricate patterns are wonderful for meditations, and are generally sought after. Malachite will need cleaning frequently, especially if used in healing, as it will draw up negativity and retain a great deal of it. Cleanse this beautiful stone in cold running water (stream or tap water) and at the same time use visualisation. Do not use salt to cleans malachite as this stone is porous and may be damaged as a result.
Malachite is an invaluable aid to wisdom and understanding. It helps to enlighten the mind concerning the source of any spiritual or physical impediment. With the knowledge and understanding obtained it opens the gate to spiritual and physical advancement. Combined with rhodochrosite it has a remarkable releasing effect. The placing of these two gemstones together upon the heart chakra, worn or within a crystal layout, should happen only if one is within easy reach of an under standing and wise councillor. The combination of rhodochrosite and malachite has the remarkable effect of penetrating into the heart chakra and solar plexus area. It will, as a result, surface painful traumas of the past. Areas that are generally too painful to remember in one’s normal state. Gradually it will bring up its knowledge of pain, surfacing realisation. Within a space of a few days many areas of a past life or lives will be known. Occasionally from the moment of pain, back to the cause and forwards to the actual bodily death. It occurs as a fresh wound and may bring many tears. These burdens will have been carried, closed up within the heart chakra, through many lifetimes. In knowledge and understanding the negativity of hatred, revenge, guilt and anger will be released, but it will leave an open wound. Aventurine, healer of wounds, aids recovery and should be worn constantly over the heart chakra. Rose quartz, in addition, will apply its healing and loving qualities. Substitute these stones for as many months as needed. The value of a councillor is that all can be talked through in confidence and acceptance, bringing comfort and explanations, especially if the patient has been thrown into this pain without conscious realisation.
Rhodochrosite, on a lighter level, worn on its own or with clear quartz, has a wonderful and gentle releasing benefit. One of its names being the Releaser. If worn between the heart chakra and solar plexus, rhodochrosite will gently and quietly set to work, clearing traumas trapped over from past lives. This will occur over many years and will gradually release these vibrations without effecting the person in any sudden or uncomfortable ways. Rhodochrosite is a beautiful pink stone and, like malachite, contains lines and swirls of both darker and lighter shades. Occasionally it will contain white, light brown, orange or deep orange within it. The white vibration adds to its spiritual qualities and the brown and orange to the value of its material qualities. Rhodochrosite vibrations gently settle into the heart chakra clearing and relieving the body and soul pain of the past. Diminishing held—in negativity in its subtle and gentle way and reflecting into the heart understanding of what lies behind the mind. It is an aid to compassion and selflessness and is a pointer to the path of the soul.
Rhodochrosite has also been called Inca Rose. Another of its special at tributes is that it holds in the feeling of preservation and youthfulness. It brings an energy of life to those who are unwell and will add cheerfulness to the person’s character. Place rhodochrosite over the solar plexus when feelings are constrained, pent up, anxious and the emotions tight and held in. This will help to clear and free energies that could later on manifest themselves into illness. It is a stone to wear when life seems unbearably painful. It will relax the nerves, enabling a slower and deeper breathing rate to occur as it begins to release emotional stress. Waves of soothing vibrations emanate from this stone. Rhodochrosite in its swirls and patterns is another excellent aid for meditation as it brings with it an understanding and re leasing power of one’s purpose in life.
Emerald is called the Jewel of Venus and was used extensively in ancient Egypt as a powerful healer. It was particularly used to heal eye complaints and head aches by sending the strength of its vibrations into the head and top half of the body. Emerald’s greatest attributes are courage and resoluteness of action. These at tributes alone often dispel persisting niggling ailments. The positive attitude it compels by its vibrations will cause worry to disappear and disintegrate. Emeralds work well on the intellect and memory, improving the capacity to learn. It's lively colour will help aid against depression whilst the depths of its green vibrations are said to be a gentle aid against insomnia. Emerald is worn for love and prosperity and more than often will send out its energy to aid clairvoyance and intuition. It may also be an aid to some lung and asthma disorders as it helps to subdue fear. Generally emerald is worn for courage and for sharpening the mind, increasing the wearer’s ability to solve complex questions. Occasionally worn to improve skin complaints and was once used as an aid against bile and poisons. It is said to improve fertility— growth and emerald’s lively vibrations would certainly suggest this. As a stone of Venus it is definitely an aid to those who feel vulnerable in love—relationships. The green vibrations will have a balancing effect upon the body and will energize loving thoughts, easing tension and lowering blood pressure. Emerald will help to see the outer world with more clarity and will contain within its sparkling facets the benefit of courage and the ability to sharpen one’s eyes and wits.
