Product Description At last, the perfect swaddle made easy! Miracle Blanket earned the "thumbs up" from the Good Housekeeping Institute. Uses no velcro, zippers or other confusing adjustments that can scratch baby and one size fits all. New research shows the benefits of swaddling to calm baby and help ensure longer sleep but the Miracle Blanket makes it easy. It truly is amazing. The Miracle Blanket is made of the highest quality (and cozy) materials available and is stitched with great attention to detail. The Miracle Blanket helps baby sleep on his back to reduce SIDS concerns and clinical studies prove that proper swaddling can often eliminate colic symptoms. Yet most blankets do not provide for a secure swaddle and baby often manages to squirm loose. The Miracle Blanket is easy to use and keeps baby snug. Pediatrician recommended. What are parents saying? "I love this blanket! It has saved me countless hours of sleep and crying. I recommend it to all of my expecting friends in my playgroup." -- Sharon - MN "I was at my wits end when I was introduced to the Miracle Blanket. The first night that I used the blanket, Makena slept four straight hours. By the third night of use she slept six straight hours. This blanket is a lifesaver!" Heather Brady - CA What do the pros say? "...Our more experienced maternity ward nurses were skeptical at first, but now even THEY are asking for more! The new parents ay it's a Miracle!" Director of Women's a Children's Services at UCLA Medical Center "We just put our one month old son down for the second night wrapped in The Miracle Blanket. He seems to love it. He slept six hours straight last night, followed by four hours straight after a quick feeding. You can't complain about that at 1 month! My friend is a pediatrician and she and I are goinig to be recommending the Miracle Blanket to our patients!" Family Practitioner in Arizona

Amazing - worth every penny!!! August 4, 2008 A. Bennett (Los Angeles, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this blanket for our fussy 7 week old daughter and couldn't believe it - it makes swaddling a snap!!! My daughter was an absolute houdini and could get out of every swaddle blanket we tried (and we were swaddling using Harvey Karp's method) - but we tried this one and it was the first she couldn't get out of - so from then on, it was the only swaddle blanket we ever used! The thing that's so great about it is that not only does it make swaddling a snap but baby can't get out (or pull fabric up over their face). I have bought one for every other friend expecting and have always heard great success stories! Worth every penny!
Only the BEST February 7, 2008 J. Elliott (Montrose, CO) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had lots of experience swaddling...the way Dr. Harvey Karp teaches you. And I HIGHLY recommend the practice. But when I used to swaddle with a regular (SwaddleMe and other) blanket, I would hear a muffled "mmmfff" sound in the middle of the night, and wake up horrified that my newborn had worked the blanket up over his head! I'm a pro swaddler - it was tight as an army-made bed, but Sam was a strong little cookie! I was worried he was going to suffocate, but didn't want to abandon swaddling altogether, since it helped him fall asleep so well. The Miracle Blanket (MB) was a GREAT solution for us, and I used it until Sam was five months old, and quite strong. He never worked the blanket up around his head, and he slept soundly through the night when swaddled with the MB. At five months, I 'weaned him off' swaddling by wrapping only one arm, leaving the other arm free, and leading his thumb to his mouth - this worked great, even though he hadn't sucked his thumb before. Within a few weeks, we finished our swaddling days, and I only had to put the blanket in his hand, and he would automatically suck his thumb and fall asleep. Now, at 12 months old, Sam is still a great sleeper. All I do is hand him a blanket, and he puts his thumb in his mouth and falls asleep. In the absence of a blanket, he never sucks his thumb, so I just make sure to leave the blankie in his bed. :) I'm so thankful that I got an MB, as it relieved my worrying and helped Sam get a peaceful night's sleep. I plan to buy more and use them exclusively with future babies. P.S. It's a highly controversial book, but I'll go ahead and recommend On Becoming Babywise: Giving Your Infant The Gift of Nighttime Sleep. We had GREAT success with it - Sam slept through the night starting at 10 weeks, and he goes right to bed with no fussing, happy to be going to sleep. His naps are regular, and he gets a full 11 hours of sleep each night. Read the recommendations there, though: if you are (or could be) a 'schedule person,' you'll love it.
learning how to swaddle works better January 27, 2008 Amy Parekh (Detroit, MI) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
honestly - your better off learning how to wrap a good swaddle. the miracle blanket has this long wing that you have to wrap around and around and around your baby until the cloth runs out - so doing and undoing it takes way to long and its hard to wrap around so many times without annoying your child. your best bet is to buy a swaddle blanket by "swaddle designs" - which are larger and prettier blankets and learn how to swaddle your baby the way "harvey karp" shows you. its easy once you get the hang of it.
