I love baby slings, particularly the New Native carrier. Great for breastfeeding moms, especially new moms who might feel they need some privacy in the beginning when nursing out of the home. Great for getting stuff done around the house, and going out. Babies just like being close to you! This brand is not bulky, like most slings. Another feature is that the sling completely surrounds the baby, instead of just holding the baby against you. (That type makes it possible for the baby to slip out if you bend at the waist.)You may need to buy 2, one for newborn, and one for older babies. I regretted not buying a 2nd size, and sometimes used a bedsheet- around the house- as a sling when my son was an older baby! Tiny babies scrunch up in the bottom, like being swaddled - looks uncomfortable, but my son was happy.
