5 out of 5 stars Great carrier!   August 21, 2008

I don't know why all the bad reviews? This is VERY simple to put baby in and out. All you have to do is hold baby against your chest with one hand and latch both slide locks, then buckle near the head. I've used this through 2 babies (same carrier) and loved it. I've carried both children for hours through Disney World, sports games, etc with no problems and no back pain. The more expensive ones are not worth it. I've used them and this works just as great. Plus it has several different pockets to keep your phone, pacifiers, or anything you want. Both of my babies would fall asleep within 5 minutes of walking in it every time!

1 out of 5 stars MY DAUGHTER FELL FROM THIS CARRIER   February 23, 2008

I received this off my baby shower registry. Luckily, we we're over some really cushy carpet. The right latch (when facing forward) did NOT latch tight compared to the left one.

My daughter fell out the right leg side, and hit the floor. If you own this, CHECK the strength of the left latch to the right.

PLEASE just spend the extra dollar to get a carrier that has an actual locking mechanism. This thing kind of just slide latches into place and offers no real security. Please, please, please - invest in another one and if you own it check the integrity.

I really can't stress this. Just check the strength, please? I don't want to read any other reviews besides mine of a baby falling from this carrier. You'll be able to tell if its faulty by just comparing how easily the left side comes undone to the right one. If they're both loose.. Than geez I don't know.

    Good luck.

I had a Snugli with my first son and knew I wanted one for this new baby. I had been warned that there were two infant deaths in my county fo new borns in slings, so I was concerned with suffocation risk of a sling with a very small baby. The new Snuglis are even easier to use than the old ones, and the price cannot be beaten. You can hold your baby very close in it by adjusting the strap in the back by his/her head (head support) and on the sides where the top clips are. The clips in the middle enable you to dismantle the holder before removing your baby, making it so you don't have to pull the baby out of it everytime you want to remove the baby from the Snugli. I've become a master at putting my baby in and out this way. He is under three months now, so he is still facing my chest and will sleep 2 hours at a stretch on it, or spend an hour or longer quiet and alert in it. He is not easily woken by sounds around the house or my voice when he's in it. Sometimes when I am working on the computer he prefers to be forward facing on my lap in it, and watches as I work on the computer. Yes, when wearing your baby frequently you get back pain. But as you get stronger that pain subsides (certainly by the time the baby is a month or 6 weeks old). I can cook, do laundry, vacuum, house clean, work on the computer, and many other things while wearing the baby. And wearing your baby on a long walk is a great way to get back in shape! I hardly ever use a stroller, prefering the convenience of this instead.

i like this carrier! it's easy to put the baby in and out (especially when the baby is asleep in it and you dont wanna wake him up). the only reason i rate this a 4 star is because there's a lot of velcro to buckle. altho that is part of the reason why it's so easy to put the baby in and out of this carrier.. overall i love this carrier for the price. also there's even a small storage pocket for small necessities. other then that my baby loves it. he'll fall asleep as soon as i put him in.

A nice, tightly designed little carrier, but not simple. I'm still not able to get the baby into it and then lift him while adjusting the straps and etc. If you're very coordinated or you have someone else in the house all the time to help you, this is fine. Otherwise, look further!
