fantastic! November 16, 2008 Pengy Elkington (West Virginia, USA) We received this toy used as a gift. My son has been mesmerized since 3 weeks old. As a music educator, I love that the music selections are major works and played with harmonies - not just the melody - and that the lights are synced with the music. I am adding this to our son's wishlist this year (he is only 6 weeks old) as we want one for his pack and play as well as the crib!
Love this toy but wears out quickly October 17, 2008 L. Rossbach (Cincinnati, OH USA) I received this toy at my baby shower for my son and he has loved it since he was a little baby. He is now two and although he doesn't really play with the toy, he does enjoy watching it while he falls asleep. It plays nice music and has lights and moving fish. My main concern is that by the time we had it for a year, the water was leaking out the bottom. As I said, my son didn't really play with it much so I would think that if he had it would have worn out much more quickly. I am trying to get a replacement for this toy. Possibly ours was defective. I have yet to hear back from the company though. We recently just took it down because the water was almost entirely gone from it. My son really misses it.
Absolute FAVORITE crib toy and we hvae had a few! September 4, 2008 S. Dial (Cincinnati, OH United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Having had 5 children, we have been through many, (at least 5,) musical crib toys. This is by far my favorite. I bought it because I wanted something both soothing and interesting for my youngest child to look at as he drifted off to sleep. It fit the bill with the soft colors of the lights and the music it plays. I liked that it had a long play option (12 minutes). My son has loved it from the first day I put into his crib, (6 mos). He is now almost 2.5 and can put it on himself, and does for both nap and bedtime! I do wish I could have given it a 4.5, though. We are on our 3rd one in 22 mos. I have bought the "new version" of it (looks like an aquarium) and already am looking to buy the original again. The new one is too complex for our needs. My son, who wants it to play, is having to learn 6 functions the other didn't offer. It comes down to this...we like it so much I am looking to get our fourth before #3 dies. He loves and uses it so much I am willing to get yet another one! :-)
A must have... September 3, 2008 L. M. Walton (Charlottesville, Virginia USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My kids just turned a year old (I have boy/girl twins) and they still love this toy. At first we only had one and then we realized we needed one for each crib. We've used it since we first came home from the hospital to help our little ones go to sleep. It has lots of really nice, soothing melodies, and the lights and swimming fish are mesmerizing for the little ones. I can't tell you how many times this has helped my kids go to sleep. I also like that you can change the light level - there are several different light combinations to choose from depending on how much visual stimulation you want to provide. My kids also enjoy the crunchy sounds the flippers make, and pressing the buttons on there own. It's really an all around great crib toy/sleep soother.
Good Luck strapping it on your crib... July 6, 2008 Moriggan78 (West Virginia) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
This thing was adorable and I loved the music when I listened to it at the store. I actually got this as a shower gift, and even though he was tiny I decided to put it up right away...no go. I bought the most basic of cribs, but because it was a convertable crib (that changes to a day bed, and a "big boy" bed) the durn thing wouldn't strap on the crib. I never got it up, and I couldn't get it to attach to anything else (the headrest in the car, his packnplay, or his play area) so it's sat in the closet ever since. Boo hiss...
