3 out of 5 stars Fits to Bikes with Rear Disc Brakes - Not for Small Children   July 14, 2008
    Ihsan Gin (Maryland, USA)
My initial rating of three stars remains. Actually, I have sold this one because our son kept sliding forward in it and ended up almost parallel to the ground with his neck bent up at an uncomfortable angle because of limited adjustability of the belts. Even if you get the seat bottom as tight as you can (the only seat height adjustment by raising the front edge of the seat), it develops a slack after a couple of rides.

I don't recommend it if you have a kid that's younger than two years for this limited range of adjustability. All in all, it is a decent product with a decent price. I recommend keeping the tire pressures around 30-35 psi so that it doesn't wobble a lot if the trails you're riding are less than perfect in terms of bumps and cracks.

    _____________Initial Review after First Use__________________
I'm giving this three stars as I've only used it once and can't evaluate with nothing more than first impressions.

My main issue before buying was "Will it fit my bike with rear disc brake?". It does. For the purposes of comfortable riding, it does not rub on the disc while turning either.

Even though the model name is same, the one we have is SC-765. I think the seat might have been a bit better (no padding in ours but the seat bottom looks like there's room for the parent to add a foam cushion under there), and I would have liked the straps to be attached to some hard points (they are sewn on the seat corduroy), but our 13 month old did not look uncomfortable and was in his seat. The lap belt though, I wish they had slits sewn in the seat corduroy (and included two belts) so that you can have it configured whether you have one kid or two. Right now, the lap belt spans the whole width of the seat no matter you're carrying one or two kids. So, if you have two kids in the trailer, they are sharing the lap belt, if you have one kid sitting in the center, the lap belt spans the whole thing.

5 out of 5 stars Great value!   July 7, 2008

This is our first bike trailer. Deciding between the InStep Quick n'EZ and the Schwinn Turbo was the only hurdle--both are made by InStep, so I wasn't sure if buying the Schwinn model would be just paying for a name. After scrutinizing, my husband and I noticed the main difference between the two was the tires--the Schwinn tires were nicer by far, and larger, 20" instead of 16". We felt that would make the trailer easier to pull. It IS easy to pull. I really don't feel it with our 2 1/2 year old in it, at all, on flat roads. As others have said, hills may be a little tougher, but they're still doable. And I am not the strongest person, either, I've always been on the petite side and not muscular. My daughter loves it and seems comfortable in it, she even fell asleep on a ride. It is very easy to attach to my bike, even for a mechanically challenged person such as myself. It also pushes very nicely when it's in stroller mode. If I had to complain about something, it would be that I don't love the colors of it, but that's okay--at least it's brightly colored and very visible. Recommended!

5 out of 5 stars Good value for money   June 2, 2008

I haven't had this long, but it seems like a great value for the money. The trailer was very easy to assemble and to attach to my bike, which has a quick-release rear wheel. I hardly had to look at the directions. It is very light, yet seems sturdy with heavy fabric. My two sons fit well in the trailer and seem to enjoy the ride. I don't plan to use it as a stroller. Unless you were to plan on using the trailer in very rugged terrain or abusing it, I can't see paying $300-$400 more for another brand.

5 out of 5 stars LOVE IT!   March 17, 2005

I love this bike trailer!!! My kids love going for rides in it, and my 3 and 5 year old both fit in comfortably. It has sling seats And they look comfortable in it.

It converts to a stroller very quick and easy. The front wheel just flips up when used as a trailer and then with a twist of the knob the wheel comes down and is easily tightend for use as a stroller and the handlebar is attached very easily.

Also the material on this one seems more durable than the cheaper models I looked at and it is more roomy than the other models that I looked at, I need more room for my 5 year old.

I especially love how easy it attaches to the bike, very simple and you can get additional couplers to put on additional bikes so it can be used with additional bikes without any hassel. (6.99)

    It wasn't hard to assemble.

It has the universal hitch so if you fall the trailer won't.

Also it has a bar across the front of the wheel to keep from hitting the wheel on things.

It has a cup holder for each kid and also another pouch for each child to put a toy or a snack. My 5 year old likes to put curios george in the cup holder, it looks like he has a harness on. It also has room in the back for a couple of bags of groceries or helmets ect.

It dose have helmet pockets so the helmets won't make the childs head tip forward but my three year old is too short to benefit from this so that is something to keep in mind.

I haven't had any problem with wear but have only had it 2 weeks. My only complaint is those hills. We live on a hill and it is quite a workout to pull 65-70 lbs up but my legs are getting stronger. :) Going down hill is no problem, I was worried about the trailer pushing the bike but it doesn't, and it is very easy to pull on flat ground, it just takes a little getting used to having a trailer on the back.

I would highly recomend this trailer. And so would my children.

I bought this item last year at Target and the item worked fine for about one month. The tires became warped easily and the hitch kept coming off my bike. The net result was that I returned the unit and bought a similiar one at another retailer which works much better.
