Snugglewool machine washable wool mattress pads are edge-stitched. The wool, from the Merino sheep in Australia and New Zealand, is sliver-knit to a polyester backing and processed to withstand gentle machine washing. Each pad looks and feels like a sheepskin clipped to a one inch length. Lambswool is a naturally disinfecting fiber so heat is not needed for disinfection. Lambswool resists the development of bacteria and dust mites. These soft, pure lightweight wool pads absorb perspiration in summer to keep you cooler. I loved this for my child in his crib. It was incredibly soft and I knew he was getting the gentlest thing next to his body. My only advice is to use it after the drooling stage. Otherwise the baby drools, then the wool attaches to their face and they can get annoyed. I also loved fleece sheets to make it nice and cozy. This definitely needs to be washed on cold/gentle, and dried on NO HEAT or hung dry. I even resold this at a great price, I would highly recommend it.
