Great for a variety of activities November 13, 2008 tori729 I bought these at a yard sale and my son loves them. He especially likes the yellow one with the sun/mirror and the different textures. I like them because they stimulate learning and can be used as he gets older for stacking.
LEAD ALERT! DO NOT BUY!!! October 27, 2008 K. schwartz (New York, NY United States) DO NOT BUY THESE BLOCKS! A warning was issued in 2007 due to high amounts of lead in the blue block. Supposedly, if you already owned the set you could send in your blue block for a replacement. Every state has different laws regarding safety warnings, and unfortunately in NY state the stores do not have to remove items like this from the shelf unless it is officially recalled. I still see them sold in older packaging at drugstores and at Target! How pathetic is that? Your child will most probably be putting these in their mouth!
Great for certain kids September 5, 2008 AnimeGirl (Florida) My very rambunctious daughter had these when she was a baby 5 years ago. She never liked them but she always wanted vigorous play. I have to buy them again as I only have 1 left and my 5 month old son loves it. Easy to pick up, soft to chew, and I don't have to worry about him hurting himself. Personality-wise he is more laid back. I think these are great if your child is okay with something that doesn't have flashing lights and music.
Nice blocks August 8, 2008 S. Turlington (Hillsborough, NC USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
At first I thought these would be a dud, but as my son has gotten older, he has started enjoying them more. He is now 5 months and plays with them by kicking them and picking them up, holding and turning them. The large shape is, I think, helping him learn how to grasp better. He also likes the sounds they make and the different textures. They are very light, though, so it is easy for him to kick or knock them out of his reach (he is not to mobile yet).
Keeps baby busy and happy July 5, 2008 Landon's Mom (Tacoma, WA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My almost-seven-month old loves his blocks. He can chew on them, squish them, knock them over and roll them around, stare at the pictures... they're great. He sits on the floor and keeps himself entertained for quite awhile. And they're easy to clean.
