Suprisingly durable! November 2, 2008 Kiwi Critic (South Dakota, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this for my daughters 4th birthday. Always dubious about anything like this - I was very happy to find that all the bits are very sturdy, and it has a huge range! It's still going, all in one piece, 2 weeks later... which is saying something as my 2 children can be pretty rough on toys. I guess it teaches hand/eye coordination, but I bought it because I thought she'd love it! All her other little ponies that have the hole in the foot can also take it for a spin. Good value.
two year old boy October 19, 2008 Wendy Lucore (Mpls MN) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I got this toy for my one year old girl's birthday. She couldn't care less. But, my two and a half year old boy LOVES it! The buttons are big enough for him to push, and simple enough for him understand: straight or spin. The only draw back is that he tends to hold down the spin button so that if it runs into a corner he can't get it turned around in the correct direction and has to pick it up. He is starting to understand the idea of "tap" now. Very durable. It has taken lots of hard slams and and bending of the antennas and is still going. But it does require lots of batteries. The pony tends to fall off and her hair gets stuck in the wheels, so this is really more of a pink remote control car then a My Little Pony car.
Great fun, and extremely durable - good fun for my girls October 5, 2008 A. Woodley (New Zealand) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
A great fun toy - scootaloo finally gets a remote control scooter, and it is totally ponyville - bright fun colours, a bit funky in its design. there is a foothold in case things get a bit fast (not that they can really) and a flowing scarf and helmet with the up and down catch that works It is great fun - there are only three controls, a turn button (it only turns one way) a straight ahead, and a beeper - so it takes a bit of skill to get it going. We have had our two girls doing all kinds of slalom and balloon popping courses with it which is quite fun given its very minimal controls - for balloon popping you need to tape a pin at the front - it is great fun to see them chasing the balloons around the hosue with that on - but that's another story! This is a lovely set to get, I have been extremely pleasantly surprised by just how much battery power you get out of it. The only drawbacks I think are 1 - limited controls - it would be really nice to have a set that has a few more (ie backwards and turning both ways on the other hand, we have made a lot of fun out of that, and I think that it has increased the toys educational value the pluses for this are 1 - bright colours 2 - extremely good battery usage - lots of power without fading 3 - nice accessories The surprise was - that there are batteries in one (the remote I think) but not in the car itself - we had to figure it out and put new ones in one or the other. You need to turn both of them on to go - also don't forget to turn them off between use - and also don't forget that there is a demo mode on the car, so it might not do everything its supposed to if you don't have it on the 'on' function
This is a really cool toy! August 30, 2008 Beautiful Faerie (The Land of Fey in USA) 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
I'm not a little girl(I'm a wee bit older),but I grew up with my little pony and still love them.I always kinda wanted a remote control car,but I wanted something girly, not for boys. This product came out recently, and I saw it online, and thought "this looks too cute, but would it work?"I found it a toys r us,and decided to buy it.If it didn't work,I'd just take it back.I think any little girl(or maybe big girl)who loves MLP I think would love this toy.I tried it on carpet(works good, just a little slow),and on tile(goes really fast on tile)and it's pretty sturdy.I'm going to try it on pavement next(hopefully it does well). But I'm getting alot of enjoyment from this cute, fun little toy.It seems to be pretty durable too(so far).I just wish they would have had something like this when I was a wee girl..I would have enjoyed it as much then as I am now. I think it would be a good purchase for a little girl.Oh,and the remote control has only three big buttons,so little hands(I don't think)would have any problem.Overall,I'm happy with my purchase so far. (From a person who is still young at heart)
