The strap is not long enough for larger shopping carts and the hole for the strap is too small. I am having a hard time strapping my wiggly daughter in properly. I got the cart cover with the over the shoulder straps and I'm now much happier. The colors are cute and it covers dirty pretty well, so I gave it 2 stars instead of 1.

I've been really happy with this purchase. I bought this for my 6 month old daughter, and she loves sitting in it. She's at that age where she doesn't want to be in the carseat now when we get out of the car. And I don't blame her. She really enjoys this, being able to sit up and see everything.
It fits ALL grocery carts, even Costco! The padded seat has a flap that can sit over back of the seat in the cart, and Costco's cart is the only one that is too wide for that. But its fine, the back padding just sits inside the seat. But it still fits fine over the Costco cart handle.
The padding behind the back is there, but I wouldn't say it's EXTRA padded. It has nice hooks and pockets all over it, and those can be very useful.
