    Editorial Reviews:

    Product Description
This lightweight, fast-absorbing lotion for the hair is made with essential oil of lemongrass to stimulate natural oil production and hydrate strands. Infused with a splash of lily of the valley fragrance in a rich base of oils, shea butter, cocoa butter, and vitamins E and C, Hair Milk is ideal for defining natural curls and giving hair loads of shine and bounce.

    1 out of 5 stars Don't buy it!   November 13, 2008
Natty D (Denver, CO United States)
I purchased this Carol's Daughter Hair Milk prior to reading reviews. I was so impressed by the owner when she appeared on Tyra; I spontaneously went to the Carol's Daughter website and made several purchases of over priced items. I would strongly suggest that women with relaxed hair do not use. It dried my hair out totally! I then attempted to put this product in my nephews naturally curly hair, and it took the curl out of his hair and dried it out... making it stiff. Keep your money. The one product that I would recommend by Carol's Daughter is the Love Butter (for dry skin). The hair products are not made for the typical black woman who perms or colors their hair. I really wanted to support a minority business, especially one owned by a woman, but it's just not worth the hype!

4 out of 5 stars So Far So Good   November 12, 2008
    Angela (San Diego, CA)
I just bought the Hair Milk yesterday and so far I like it. I am biracial (black and mexican) and I'm transitioning. I tried using mixed chicks but my hair felt stiff and waxy. I like how this product conditions both my natural hair and my relaxed hair and leaves it feeling so soft! It's not too greasy either. My hair is left shiny and looks very healthy. I could do without the smell though. It smells alot like Lemon Pledge. But I'm hoping it will wear off throughout the day. But even if it doesn't it's just a small price to pay for such a wonderful product. Thank you Carol's Daughter!

2 out of 5 stars Too Much Water in this product.   October 5, 2008
    Wilda Walker (Las Vegas, NV)
Would not buy this product again because it has too much water in it and makes my particular hair frizzy .

3 out of 5 stars I will get the job done but....   September 6, 2008
    Chic Noir (USA)
It has a bad smell. I cannot say what exactly it smells like but the odor this product gives off is very unpleasant. It moisturizes okay. At least it keeps my hair from being dry as a desert. The product will liquefy if left in a warm room. I purchased the 4oz bottle, and a year latter I still have a little left. Therefore, the product is long lasting at the very least.

5 out of 5 stars awesome product   August 15, 2008
    R. Newman (Wash. DC)
After reading other folks's reviews, I'm not sure why the hair milk isn't working for them. I'm not African American but I have coarse wavy hair and this product works excellent on my hair. After trying countless hair products over the years, I've learned as a rule of thumb--a little bit goes a long way. You can always add more but you can't take away. I would recommend this hair milk to anyone who has wavy to curly hair. It defines your curls without making them crunchy like gel or mousse and it smells better than synthetic fragances like many other hair products use. And, I have faith that an African American woman knows how to create a product for African American hair.
