Husband Loves it! August 17, 2008 Sara Edwards (Kansas) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Just wasn't quite right for my naturally curly fine hair, but great for my DH's thick, oily hair. He thinks it is a great product, but refers to it as the 'Hippy, leaves and twigs' shampoo :)
THE BEST!!!! August 12, 2008 Turkey This is the first solid shampoo I got from lush. I fell in love with the smell. This is a great shampoo, it's balanced, it will leave your hair soft. jungle conditioner is THE PERFECT combo for this shampoo. I love how compact this is, no more big shampoo bottles all over the bathroom!!!!
Great general purpose, gentle shampoo April 27, 2008 Dancing Ferret (Chicago, IL) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Like all LUSH shampoo bars, Squeaky Green has the advantages of being fairly easily transportable, not very messy, and eco-friendly. It's also just a nice general shampoo. Not too drying (those with really oily scalps/hair may want something a little tougher for regular use), decent lather, and a gentle clean. The scent is light and fresh and will linger if not covered by anything else but also, so far as I've noticed, is not over-powering nor does it tend to clash with any other scents which might be a problem with a few of the other shampoo bars. The rosemary leaves included in the bar might be daunting for some as they come off in your hair, but the solution to that is to a) rinse thoroughly and/or b) pick them out before use. Using the bar is simple - get your hair nice and wet, just like you would for liquid shampoo, then swipe the bar from the front of your scalp down the length of your hair in several spots, either side of the head and the middle seems the easiest pattern. Add a few more swipes if you feel it necessary. Then set down the bar in a well-drained, fairly try spot, and rub your fingers in your hair like you would with liquid shampoo to build up a nice rich lather. Rinse, follow with conditioner if you like (often not necessary) and go.
Great Shampoo April 9, 2008 ND guy (North Dakota) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've used a few of LUSH's products in the past and they have all been great including this shampoo (I stopped buying there body soap because it just doesn't last long enough :( still like it though). The reason I bought this shampoo or any other shampoos from lush is because its solid, compact, and easy to travel with. I hate taking bottles of shampoo to the gym and having them leak inside my gym bag. So these solid bars work great. This is the first time I used this shampoo and I enjoy the smell. It's not too overpowering like some of the other shampoos lush sells. It lathers well and rinses out easily. It also lasts me a long time, unlike there body soaps... It also claims to "encourage hair growth", which if that works, would be a plus as I need every last hair I have, but either way I would recommend this shampoo to anyone. I don't know if this matters or not but I have very short hair so I don't know if the results would vary on someone with longer hair.
