I have medium to light blonde highlighted hair, depending on the time of year. My natural hair color is medium brown. I spray this on my SCALP, let it dry and then barely brush into the surrounding hair. Not only does it hide my balding spot, it thickens the surrounding hair. The price is a killer, though.

I bought this product because I have long hair and washing it everyday was drying the ends out. I just needed something to take care of the oil at my roots in between washings. I was completely disappointed! First of all, if you are not a VERY DARK blonde, the color of this product won't work for you! It made me look as if I had roots that needed to be touched-up. Secondly, it is a sticky, gross mess that gets on your hands and brush, color and all (It does dry after a few minutes on your hair). It'll even get on your clothes and possibly your sheets if you sleep with it in your hair. Furthermore, the smell is unpleasant (like a nasty hairspray - chemical odor) and when you do shower, you'll get reminded of the usage of this product as you see the color wash down the drain. You'll need two shampooings to get it all out! If you want a cheap solution for light blonde hair, try straight cornstarch. Shake it on your roots, then scrub and shake it out. Brush and style and you're good to go.
