    Book Description
In the New York Times bestseller The Late Great USA: The Coming Merger with Mexico and Canada, Jerome Corsi proves that the benignly-named "Security and Prosperity Partnership," created at a meeting between George W. Bush, Stephen Harper and Vincente Fox, is in fact the same kind of regional integration plan that led Europe to form the EU. According to Corsi, the elites in Europe who wanted to create a European nation knew that "it would be necessary to conceal from the peoples of Europe just what was being done in their name until the process was so far advanced that it had become irreversible." Could the same thing be happening here? Is American sovereignty doomed?

Using dozens of documents secured through the Freedom of Information Act and his trademark hard-hitting interviews, Jerome Corsi sets out a chilling view of America's possible "harmonized" future -- one being created covertly, without voter input or Congressional oversight. Could our government's unfathomable position on illegal immigration be tied to the prospect of an integrated North American Union?

An incredible book with page after page of easy-read facts n' figures and maps about the upcoming demise of the USA. Engaging. Informative.

We've heard plenty of doom-themes before, but nothing like this. In a new slant, author Jerome Corsi tackles on-going "secret" plans of the USA, Mexico and Canada ...plans for building a "North American Union," designed to combine the three into a world-class economic fortress. Now, the author doesn't use "secret" in the way Art Bell might in his after-hours radio shows whenever investigating conspiracy theory. Instead, Corsi's "secret" describes how the public, the media, the Congress have all been intentionally locked out from any knowledge of high-level government/ corporate negotiations bent on putting together something quite like the current European Union...complete with the "Amero," a new North American money unit; huge, new cross-America NAFTA transportation highways; wide open borders, and even a Mexican-owned, Mexican-government-operated vehicle/cargo customs "checkpoint" in/near Kansas City...on "Mexican land" forged right into the middle of the USA.

The author summarizes these unfolding plans for a project that's said to have begun in the '90s. Never heard of this? Nor I. --Matter of fact, The Late, Great USA is the first book this reader's come across on the subject, although Corsi mentions a couple of other authors who've previously wrote on it. It's definitively hard to refute his thesis. [After all, what information have we got to compare it with?] He's written in such a fascinating, credible way, the book is compelling and often a little scary. He says, as the USA diminishes its economic self, we can expect
on-going higher prices, many more illegals, additional unemployment as lots more American jobs are shipped out of the country to places where wages are on the dirt end of the scale. This is even before the proposed Trans-Texas Transportation Corridor blooms away from Houston and past Dallas into a giant 8-laner that'll stretch up past Illinois, somewhere around Mt. Rushmore, on through Canada and into Alaska. It's all in the plan....

So who benefits from this decades-in-the-making, multi-trillion-dollar USA make-over? Says the author, mainly China. Then Mexico. Corsi's got a good case for claiming the United States already plays 2nd-fiddle to the economic pressures of China...but expect our money woes only to deepen if this North American Union actually takes off. As we continue our cozy habits of buying our cheap goods at Target and Walmart, the Chinese government has bigger plans (for us?). He says we need to wake-up to the inherent dangers of emulating the EU. --And he offers scores of eye-opening economic red flags for us to ponder. Indeed, Corsi's not happy about the secretive "NAU" planning that's been going on for years. It's got to stop, he demands: open it up. Let's see what it's really all about....

--And he wants to know about lacking Congressional oversight on a project so encompassing as an economic/social melding of three neighboring countries. Congress has pretty much been silent on the matter. The media haven't reported on it. Presidential candidates have ignored it. Most of us have never heard of it. Until now.

If just 10% of this "Wow!" book is on the mark, we still ought to be concerned about our country's future. --But, cover to cover, it looks pretty much to be based in fact...and definitely helps our future seem almost hopeless. Written like a interesting historical document, with a bundle of footnotes, its descriptions, accounts and chronologies appear all too real to be just a lot of hapless opinion, fluff and fiction.

The Late, Great USA is an interesting work that dismays and occasionally disheartens. Still, readers should hold some reservations on its doom-filled messages 'till we hear more from "the other side." Even so, here's a good NAU primer for every Congressman, every talk-show host, CEO, voter, blue-collar worker, teacher, student, stay-at-home, and newsperson in the country. Although he doesn't actually say it, maybe all is not spiraling out of our control...as Corsi ends up with a few useful conclusions/suggestions for us. [For starters, he advises we've got to end our participation in NAFTA. Now. --And outlines reasons why.] If we slow/reverse the direction of the all-secret, tri-part planning, the author suggests, we might avert our becoming "the late USA," which, by many accounts, does seem to be our current destiny.

4 out of 5 stars Well-written, well supported report of loss of sovereignty   June 17, 2008

This is an extremely thorough report on efforts to combine North America into a European Union-like confederation that would destroy our laws and liberty.

The author, Harvard Ph.D. Jerome R. Corsi, first became prominent with his book "Unfit for Command" where veterans spoke out against Democratic Presidential Candidate John Kerry and his distortions of his military record. Corsi may well have single-handedly kept Kerry out of office. You can make your own judgement on whether that was a good thing or not. The term "swift-boated" has even entered our dictionaries as a term for referring to a book revealing some dirt on a candidate. Many considered Corsi a shill for Bush. Fascinating that in this book Corsi condemns Bush and his administration in no uncertain terms. This makes his message all the more believable.

This book presents loads of evidence that powerful elite interests in this country, including both political parties, and almost all large multi-national companies and their ultra-rich owners are colluding in forging a merger of Canada, Mexico and the US. The author shows proof that the Security and Prosperity Partnership is a framework for a new government that would do away with our laws, Constitution, and power of self-government. The political weasels quoted in the book scurry from lie to lie. The elite continue to try and force their view of "good" on all of us, even if they have to take our property and rights to do it.

There are a multitude of villains in this story. President Bush, the democratic leadership, Robert Pastor, George Soros, Ted Turner, The Council on Foreign Relations and other shadowy influence groups are all behind this movement. Corsi includes so much specific information and proof that the first part of the book moved a little slowly.

The most interesting chapters to me were the last chapters on the effects of the globalists on our country and citizens. These chapters are sobering.

The most important thing to get out of this book is the realization that anyone who pretends that there is no such thing as a movement towards a North American Union is either woefully uninformed or purposefully disingenuous. If you have any doubts whatsoever, read this book. The information in it is necessary to make political choices in any election. Both parties have globalist deniers as presidential candidates, but we can still have an effect on the other candidacies.

This is not a republican versus democrat issue; It's a liberty-loving us versus an elite, socialistic them and they're winning. Four stars.

5 out of 5 stars Make sure your Congressmen have a copy   June 16, 2008

Upon hearing that my Congressional representitive had never heard of the North American Union during an interview on the Marc Bernier talk radio show, I got extra copies of this book and sent them off to my Congressional representitives. All but one personaly acknowledged my gift to them in the form of thank you notes. Never has this country been so in the grips of those who are so rich that money does not do it for them any more. Power is their chosen elixer and make no mistake they are increasingly being placed in a position to take it. Dr. Corsi has for good reason meticulously researched and footnoted this book so that the naysayers can find the documentation used to substantiate the authors positions. I have written to all major networks begging them to do the research and report the shadow government being created under the nose of Congress without oversight or approval. There is NO dialogue in Congress which leads me to beleive they are well aware of what is going on. MY Congressmen are anyway!! (they got this book). Several states have expressed that they will not be a part of the North American Union. Tom Tancreto , Ron Paul and Lou Dobbs of CNN have been very outspoken. If you want to finaly make sence of this nations lack of immigration policy with Mexico you will find you answers here. Any alleged policy will be nothing more than smoke and mirrors and McCain is the heir apparant of this policy. Make no mistake about it,he is an open boarders NAFTA CAFTA free tradin' globalist. Our government is being hollowed out...massive transfers of public weath into private hands....what is wrong with this? Your tax dollars are not rebuilding your military but enriching Backwater and Haliburton etc. They are not accountable for your dollars as are the publicly funded institutions intended to be your safety net in time of trouble. Your safety net is being hollowed out and has holes in it big enough to drive a Mac Truck through. Do you trust the FDA to keep your food and drugs safe? Your understanding of these tactics is important in grasping the mindset of a globalist. I cannot recomend this book highly enough.

I found it to be a very interesting and informative subject. The only problem I saw was that it was more suited to a feature article and it tended to be a bit long and repetetive. Perhaps I am being a bit critical but I write as well.

1 out of 5 stars Corsi Betrays Conspiracy   May 13, 2008

    Memo: Corsi Book

We need to immediately try to get all copies of this book pulled and a new edition printed. Corsi, has gone so over the top that he is unlikely to succeed in the project. He and Ron Paul are supposed to be complaining about the "Union" project so Mexico and Canada will fall for it thinking they are trapping the US. Unfortunately both Paul and Corsi are stretching things so ridiculously far no one in Canada and Mexico is likely to believe they are not part of our conspiracy. The "Union" Project is enough of a long shot as is. Obviously, anyone with at least two brain cells would realize that the US is so much larger, richer, more powerful and, oh yes, heavily armed that any supposed Union is nothing more than the US taking over Canada and Mexico. We didn't expect most people to believe the book but Corsi has gone so off his rocker that no one out there will be stupid enough to actually fall for it. Get those books back and get another writer.
