Smart idea, great for kids July 26, 2008 Lowrain (Louisville, KY) I bought this so I could use a timer with my daughter. It helped her understand a bit better when I said, "10 minutes to get dressed" or "Let's take 5 minutes and pick up." It counts down. What's annoying, though, is that it counts each second after a minute and can get a little anxiety-producing. But, it works, especially for kids who can't tell time or won't think to look at a timer. It's also been pretty sturdy.
Talking timer July 21, 2008 L. Hussong This is a great device for someone with low vision, but I like it because it is hard to ignore. THere are so many beeping things around my house that I often didn't notice a regular timer, but this one makes it through the general noise level. My always-late teen also thinks it helps her stay on schedule, because it reminds her every minute how much time she has left. It has a magnet, a clip and a stand back so you can put it just about anywhere. You can also use it in clock mode and press a button to have it tell you what time it is.
Great product for my kids! June 1, 2008 Thinkaholic (Orange County, California) I got these for my kids to use when brushing their teeth, doing chores, and many other things. It teaches them responsibility and I don't always have to babysit all of their actions, which no kid likes when parents do that. The timer does it for me and everyone's happy. Great product!
Outstanding! January 18, 2007 Paul H. Brassard (Murrieta, CA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I use this timer to time flying secessions with my Radio Controlle model airplanes... It TALKS LOUDLY to me in time to land before running out of fuel. A really great gadget!

This is an item I never want to be without. My Mom bought one,and I saw how great it was,and now I have one. It's indispensable! It's easy to set,has an easy to read screen,I like the choice of alarm sounds, which are clear, with perfect volume, and the talking feature makes it great,so you don't have to watch the screen. The magnet/clip/stand back is perfect for having the timer near whatever I'm doing, and I use it for so many things. They last too,Mom's had hers 6 years, and it's good as new. It's very conserving on batteries too.If you haven't got one yet,Try it you;ll really like it,if mine goes out,I'll get another one right away!
