1 out of 5 stars Not much content.   July 8, 2008
Two dollars is not much but so is this manuscript! Nothing more than promotional piece for what is a terrific product. Unecessary, misleading, and inaccurate. There are many great things about the Kindle but this is not one of them.

3 out of 5 stars The Kindle is the most revolutionary tool for the 21st century.   July 7, 2008
    Michela Caudill (Baltimore,MD)
I bought the Kindle three days before departing on a two month trip to a small village in the Rhodphi Mountains in Bulgaria. It was loaded with 26 books. The Kindle provided me with countless hours of reading pleasure and ample opportunity to read and think in a place where no books in English or French were available. It is simple to use and has a feature that makes it attractive to people who wear glasses, the size of the text can be adjusted.

The Kindles is truly remarkable. I hope in the coming months the technology will evolve in order to allow its users who are out of the United States access to more of its features. I almost ran out out of books to read. Having said that, for anyone who does a great deal of traveling this device is a miracle and I would recommend it highly. The Kindles is one of the great advances in technology. For once a machine has been invented that really does what it says it supposed to do.

5 out of 5 stars SICK NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   July 6, 2008
I got my Kindle a little over two months ago. I haven't been able to finish Windwalker's book yet because every time I get close to finishing he posts new stuff. But it has shown me how to do a lot of cool things with the Kindle.

2 out of 5 stars Use the Kindle as a Web Browser!   July 5, 2008
    Eric N. Dobard (Louisiana)
If it is your intent to use your Kindle as a Google web browser, this is for you. If not, save your money, even if it is only $2. I use an Iphone.
I have full web browser portability, send email, text message, etc. I haver no use for my Kindle in those tasks. I bought this text hoping to get more information on the toggling functions of the unit. No such luck!
From this paper, I learned: How to view the time on the Kindle; how to use the ALT/x key functions for various duties but those are covered in the miniscule manual included with the Kindle; and I learned how to better secure the kindle into it's jacket. That's it. I still don't how to use the page toggles effectively as I'm constantly toggling away from my page accidentally and then can't get back.
As I said, if you need Google web browser and Gmail capability, this is for you. Otherwise, just send me the $2.
